Sitting on a dragon definitely was not his way of travelling. Especially not since they had joined an entire group of dragons flying towards the capital, Kate meant the young dragons would be easier to handle then. One quick look around made it clear Mr. Joestar wasn't a fan either. Polnareff and Jotaro, however, seemed to have settled in, while Kate couldn't get any more comfortable. She no longer rode the black dragon she had chosen at first. She switched between them, skilfully balancing atop the tails and walking over the dragon's backs, taking to them and even petting them, as she made use of a long staff to gently give them directions by tapping their sides. It was fascinating to see her...playing with the huge, majestic creatures. Unfortunately Avdol didn't have tie to further observe this spectacle, as well as the beautiful world that passed by, as the dragons suddenly dipped into a steep dive. Not even Kate seemed to have been prepared for that. She lost her balance and fell off of the dragon she was currently on. For a moment the Egyptian feared for the girl's life, but before he could even react she spread her own majestic wings and gracefully caught herself, joining the dragons in the steep dive. The dragons landed, surprisingly gentle, near a big cliff. When Avdol opened his eyes, he saw that Kate had said the truth. In the distance they could see the capital. The land had indeed gotten more modern the closer they got to the capital. The huge city, called Devildom, stretched across the land. Even though there were two suns, it wasn't exactly bright. It had in fact gotten darker the closer they had gotten to the devildom. (In comparison to the current twilight, it had been very bright when they'd arrived in hell.) The city lights lit up the horizon. The capital was surrounded by a huge protective wall, magically expanding to fit all houses inside. Kate landed next to Avdol. "Wait till you see it up close." she declared proudly and walked on ahead, her eyes glistening gleefully, excitement in her step. "Let's go." declared Mr. Joestar determined and locked eyes with each of them, first Avdol, then Polnareff and Jotaro. Iggy had long taken off after Kate. And finally, Avdol fixed his gaze onto the capital and took his first step, ready to explore a world he'd only heard about.
He'd seen pictures but they didn't compare to the real thing. The moment Avdol stepped foot through the huge, towering city gate, towering above them, adorned with the crest and flags of hell's current ruler, he was blown away. Skyscrapers rose up out of the ground and into the sky, houses and shops lined up next to each other, people walked the streets, cars honked. The city was abuzz with all the hustle and bustle. Kate confidently led them through the streets and windy back alleys. A group of humans was sure to catch attention and on top of that Kate was well-known. Here in the capital most people knew her face and she wanted to avoid being seen and roped into something dumb. Soon they passed the entrance to the black market. Polnareff seemed interested but Kate pulled him along, "Don't. Black markets are always dangerous no matter where you are but here in hell you have to be careful not to be mugged and sold off the moment you step foot inside.", she explained. It didn't take long for her to lead them back out into the open. The voices of the people and the traffic could be heard. "All right, here we are, the town square. I'll be inside the shop across the street real quick, grab a new summoning accessory and be right back. Then we'll get the car from that event and then we'll be on our way. Once we have that car, we'll be at the Crimson Eagle's Nest in no time at all.", Kate explained while quickly putting on a cloak to cover her face. "You just wait here." she ordered before hushing across the street and entering the shop, displaying jewellery, daggers, chalk, candles and other stuff needed for summons. The men finally had time to take a look around. The town square was old though well-maintained. In the middle there stood a big fountain decorated with a statue of three people. A smaller figure flanked by two bigger ones. Avdol couldn't help it, he had to inspect the figures. From his current position he could only see their backs and if there was a statue of them...then they must be important figures in the history of hell. "I'll go and take a closer look at that statue.", he declared and headed to the fountain before any of his companions could stop him. The statue in the middle showed a woman, one he knew very well. It was Kate, flanked by Lucifer and a demon he didn't know. A sign read, "In honour of Hell's strongest." "If this is the statue of the three strongest people in hell...and this one depicts Kate and the other Lucifer then the third one must be...Lord Diavolo." thought Avdol. The statue was carefully chiselled. The one who made that statue had an eye for detail. The three looked as if they could come to life at any moment. Kate looked as she did now, so the statue must have been rather new. The three pairs of eyes pierced through the people, watched over them and when one looked right into them one could feel the determination and strength that rested in them. The two demons actually were in their demon form. Lucifer's mighty wings spread out behind him, his cloak, adorned with peacock feathers, fluttering in the wind and Diavolo stood to Kate's right, confident, arms folded, his bat-like wings spread as well, head held high. And Kate, she hadn't taken on her demon form. She stood there as a human. Probably to proof her point, that humans weren't weak. She stood tall and proud, head held high, hair flying in the wind, like a knight she presented her sword before her, hands resting on the hilt. "Wow! They're so cool!", a little boy exclaimed, looking at the statue. "But how can a human be so strong?", the boy asked his mother without taking his eyes filled with admiration off the statue. "She worked very hard. We'll have to visit the Hall of Legends some time. Her story is being told there, as well. She and Lucifer share an exhibition. The paintings really draw you in. There you can see all the effort she put into becoming who she is today. How hard she trained the sword with Lucifer and the shared etiquette lessons with Diavolo. The paintings even show how she ended up in our world in the first place...." his mother started. "Tell me! I wanna hear the story!" exclaimed the boy. The boy's mother sighed, resigning herself to her fate, "Well, I'd better start at the very beginning, then..." Avdol listened intently, he'd never actually heard Kate's full story. Besides that, this was a very grand opportunity to see how Kate was viewed in this world. The other men had come over, interested in this story, as well.
