Daniel and I used basically all the time until the next season starts. We exchanged our thoughts on how we'd like to celebrate our wedding. I was surprised by how similar we think about this and it took us not too long to arrange the whole idea. We'd definitely wanted to marry in Monaco and what fits better to Monaco than to marry on a boat? So we decided to bring our closest family and friends to Monaco before the new season starts. Sadly Lando wasn't able to join because of his preparation with McLaren. I would've loved to have him here as well. It is now the beginning of march and the season will start in two weeks.

Today is the day. I woke up early in the morning because I was so nervous. Daniel spent the night in his apartment with his family and I was in my apartment with my parents. "Good Morning are you ready for this day?" my mum asks with a bright smile on her face. I nodded while smiling as well and sat down on my kitchen table. I wasn't really hungry but I know I have to eat something. Around 10 am the doorbell rang and Charlotte and Blair came in. I hugged them tightly and let them in. I asked Charlotte to do my hair and make up for today. While getting my hair and make up done we all had a conversation and I feel like I've been talking none stop because of how nervous I was. My parents and Daniel's parents met at the boat in the meanwhile because they insisted to decorate it. "Have you spoken to Daniel yet?" Charlotte asks as I shake my head no. "Charles texted me that he is so nervous." she said and I had to smile at her comment. "Same over here." I replied. Charlotte finished my make up and hair and I looked into the mirror. "Charlotte, this is perfect. I can't thank you enough for this." I said and hugged her tightly, loosing my first tear. "Don't you dare to ruin that masterpiece." Blair said as she wiped the tear away.

My parents came back right when we decided to put on my outfit. Blair helped me with my jumpsuit and Charlotte gave me my shoes. I added some jewelry and stepped out of the bathroom. By the look on my parents faces, they seemed to like it. "Oh my god Amilia you look beautiful." my mum said with tears in her eyes as she pulled me into a hug. "My beautiful baby is growing up, we are so proud of you." my dad says as I pull him into a hug as well. I know I shouldn't cry but the tears left my eyes. I wiped them away and checked myself one last time in the mirror.

We left the apartment around 12 and drove to the harbor. Charlotte, Blair and my mum walked to the boat where Daniel's family already was while my dad and I waited in the car. Daniel's family, also including his sister with her husband and little Isaac, Charlotte and Charles, obviously Max and Blair waited until they were allowed to go onto the boat. I still haven't seen Daniel yet but I can only imagine he looks handsome. "Don't be nervous, I'm right here with you, I won't ever leave you alone." my dad says as he held my hand. I smiled at him and whispered a thank you because I knew I wouldn't be able to hold back the tears if I use my full voice. My dads phone rang and it was the sign for us to go. We stepped out of the car and from far away I could already see Daniel. He was wearing all white, with a white linen shirt, white pants and white shoes. As I predicted, he looks really handsome.
My dad and I walked to the boat, hand in hand and all I was able to do was smile. I never stopped looking at Daniel and I felt pure happiness. Everyone else was looking at me too but the only one I could focus on was Daniel. We reached the boat and my dad helped me on it. There wasn't too much space so the walk towards Daniel wasn't too far. Soon my dad and I reached Daniel and they both hugged. "I trust you with my everything, please keep her safe." he said and Daniel nodded, pulling my dad in for another hug. Meanwhile I was in another world. All I focused on was Daniel. My dad took my hand, pulled me in for another hug and gave my hand to Daniel. I whispered another I love you before my dad sat down next to my mum. Daniel focused on me and I focused on him. "Hi." he said and smiled. "Hi." I replied smiling as well. He pulled me into a hug, placing a kiss on top of my forehead.

The ceremony was so beautiful and Daniel held my hand the whole time. We now stay in front of each other about to say yes. "Do you, Mr Daniel Ricciardo want to take Amilia van Dijk as your wife?" Daniel was asked and he nodded his head. "Hell Yes Baby." he answered and everyone giggled at his reaction. Daniel grabbed the ring and put it on my finger. "Now do you, Ms Amilia Van Dijk, want to take Daniel Ricciardo as your husband and call yourself from now on Mrs Amilia Ricciardo?" I was asked and nodded my head as well. "Yes I do." I said and smiled as bright as possible. I grabbed the ring as well and put it on Daniel's finger. "You Are officially married now, congratulations Mr and Mrs Ricciardo." I heard it and put my arms around Daniel. He grabbed my face in the same moment and pressed his lips onto mine. Our family and friends in the background were cheering and I saw confetti all around us. I hugged Daniel tightly and he placed his head on top of mine while we watched all the confetti fall onto us. I bet these will be fantastic photos.
Our family and friends all congratulated us and I got pretty emotional. Both Daniel and I left some tears, such as our parents. "We are so happy to have such a wonderful person in our family now." Daniels mum said and I hugged her once again. I thanked her when my mum turned to Daniel. "You know that I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for our daughter. You'll forever have a special place in my heart. Welcome to our family." my mum said and Daniel hugged her while some more tears left his eyes.

The boat was about to departure when Daniel grabbed me by my waist. "I have a surprise for you." he said and caught me off guard. "Daniel no wait I don't have a surprise..." I said but he stopped me. "Don't, just look." he said while turning me around to face the harbor. And when I recognized it I opened my mouth wide open. There was Lando, about to come onto the boat. He was still carrying his suitcase so I guess he just arrived. "Omg Daniel." was all that came out of my mouth and I hugged him. As quick as possible I ran over to Lando to hug him. "Hey I'm sorry I couldn't make it earlier but here I am." he said and I pulled him closer. "It doesn't matter, you're here, that's all I wished for." I replied. Lando then walked over to Daniel and they hugged as well. He congratulated him as well and now we are ready to departure.
