3rd POV

Present.......

Khalisee?

Jungkook was stunned by the frightened little girl curled up in between two large protruding roots of the huge tree. As if his world stopped, his wolf form froze in front of the small petrified girl. His mind stopped functioning as soon as he glimpsed her face fully; cheeks wet with tears and stained by the dirt and her mouth gagged by a dirty white cloth. His eyes traveled down and saw her wrists tied tightly together by a zip tie, seeing dark red marks peeking around her skin.

Khalisee whimpered when Jungkook stepped closer, his nose approaching her face. She shut her eyes tightly as she contained a feeble yelp, turning her face to the side; hearing her own loud unsteady heartbeat pounding inside her small chest.

Jungkook breathed in her scent as he nuzzled his nose on her cheek. For a moment, it's as if his wolf was tamed; allowing Jungkook to fully take control of his wolf.

But as soon as he was regaining control, the roaring sound of vehicles reached his earshot. That disturbance interrupted Jungkook and lost control once again, he felt his wolf dominate him.

He growled deeply, making Khali flinch and cry a short cry. His head snapped in the direction of the vehicle's noise before launching past the tree Khalisee was cornered in. His legs moved swiftly as he glided through the forest, getting farther away from the town's direction.

The door bursts open in the guest room Tae, Hobi, and Jimin are staying in. They all looked at the woman who was in tears and with a tiny smile etched on her lips.

"S-she's here." she stammered and wiped her tears.

Jimin's eyes widened from the news, he bolted out of the room and house. Tae, Hoseok, and the woman followed after. Jimin was already outside and was welcomed yet again by the chilly cold night wind. He was stunned by the number of kids outside, crying out loud and searching for their parents. The police were all on phone calls as families started arriving with tears cascading down their cheeks.

Jimin searched for his niece, having a little bit of a hard time due to the tears blurring his eyesight. He wiped them away and hurriedly went down the porch of the woman's house.

"Issy!" He shouted. "Khalisee!"

"Uncle!!" Jimin's eyes darted to his niece who was running toward him. She was crying so much that when she reached her uncle's open arms, she clutched him tight, burying her face in his shoulder; shedding more tears. Jimin hugged her tightly, his arm wrapped securely around her tiny back and his other hand gently caressing her messy entangled hair.

"Shhh. You're safe Issy." He whispered under shaky breaths. "You're safe. You're with me now."

Tae and Hoseok bent down beside Issy and Jimin. Tae rubbed his friend's back to comfort him while Hoseok did the same to Issy. It was a frightful experience for them, not only for Jimin's but also for the other kids' families.

To most of the people who knew the alarming situation, a kidnap took place. But for the children, it was more than just that. It was more than a nightmare. It was traumatizing. Especially for Khalisee who refused to recall what she saw and desperately wanted to forget it ever happened. She wanted to erase those haunting memories.

Jimin was concentrating on his niece and comforting her when they all heard a kid crying loudly and saying something to his parents.

"T-there was a m-monster!" the little boy cried and was agreed by the other children who shakily nodded their heads. It immediately caught the police's interest and interrogated the boy. Dismissing the fact that the boy might still be afraid to relive the memory.
