Chapter 11: Khalisee?

Jungkook's POV

I glided through the dark forest, my legs moving lithely in sync as I ran farther away from the town. The sun had already set and I had left hours ago. The full moon started peeking through the slits between the leaves in the canopy.

My eyes narrowed and my nose stuck in the air, recognizing the smell of the waterfall. I reached the cave behind the falls. The earthy smell of dirt, water, and nature itself consumed my senses.

I lay on my stomach and rest my head on my paws. Feeling my stomach growl loudly due to the lack of human flesh.

Now that the moon has taken over the night sky, I slowly feel myself go crazy and out of control. That's why I left early even before the sun could disappear. I left the cafe before the usual time and I was relieved they granted me permission.

I didn't get to meet Khalisee anymore as I went straight to the forest and stripped behind a huge tree and transformed into my wolf form.

Minutes later, my eyes shot open and my head jolted up. My vision dimmed and I slowly started salivating. My heart raced in anxiousness as I started to lose control, and my breathing became shallow and fast.

"Fuck!"

My body jerked up as I growled loudly. I tossed and turned, trying to fight the urge to run back to the town where I can feast on. I shook my head violently as if it would shake the monster inside me.

My legs bolted forward and I ran at high speed, swiftly passing huge trees.

"No! Fuck!" I shouted in anger in my head. "Fuck fuck! Why can't I control myself!?"

I forced control over my body and when I felt myself taking over, I swiftly veered from my direction and started dashing the other way. With shallow breaths, I inhaled the air and my ears perked up as I detected a creature nearby.

I ran in that direction and my eyes zeroed on the huge wild boar. It quickly sensed me and tried to run away, but with my already opened jaws and sharp teeth, I instantly bit its neck and felt my teeth sink deeply through its flesh. Dark red blood oozed out of its punctured neck, making me go crazy in hunger.

I ate the rest of the boar, biting and chomping on its huge stomach. Allowing my teeth to sink and relish the taste of meat in my mouth. But just like what I had thought, it didn't taste good, it was sickening and nauseating. I felt like vomiting everything up.

I forced myself to stomach it all in. Even if my insides are churning from revulsion from the animal meat I ate.

I gagged many times while I was wandering through the dark forest, looking for more creatures that I can feast on besides human flesh. While I was at it, I looked for any small body of water so that I could stop and drink. Maybe it would help ease my grumbling stomach from rejecting the food that I had forced to take in.

After minutes of wandering, my nose thrust up and my vision instantly dimmed a bit.

"Oh shit." I cursed inside my head.

Humans.

Out of all the nights they really chose tonight.

My momentary control was lost as my wolf took over the reins. My ears jerked as I heard distant laughter from men. I inhaled the air and smelled smoke and beer. I also detected loud and high-pitched screams coming from the same direction, but faint.

Before I could try to stop myself for the second time, my legs already bolted in that direction. Running at full speed, every step made me anxious about what was going to happen next. I already knew the following grotesque events. But I wasn't going to give up and let myself ruin what I promised to live my life in.
