Jimin's POV
"So you're saying, in the end, they just went their own ways?" I asked while sitting across from Jungkook on the kitchen island. He hummed in response and took a bite from his apple.
When I woke up, everyone was gone, except for Jungkook who woke me up. I did my morning routines first before he invited me to eat with him, it turns out he waited for me so that we could eat together.
I looked up at him only to be met by black orbs staring at me too closely. Making me jolt back as my hand flew to my chest, trying to calm the fast beats of my heart.
"Aish! Ayla's not here. You can be as far as 10 feet away from me." I told him and stood up from my seat. With a flushed face, I left him there and went upstairs to my room. Oblivious of his presence following me closely from behind. My bedroom door was about to close shut when it opened and revealed Jungkook.
"Wait–" I tried to stop him from coming in but he had already made his way to the bed, plopping his body and ruining the neatly pressed duvet. "What are you doing? You have your own room Jungkook."
He ignored me and comfortably lay down on the bed, resting his head on his propped elbow, and stared at me standing awkwardly in the middle of the room. He tapped on the space beside him, prompting me to lie beside him.
"No." I declined. "Seriously Jungkook, Ayla's not here. Just go out and enjoy your vacation, go anywhere. Be free... I guess." I pulled open the curtains leading to the balcony, dragging the heavy cloth to the sides and tying them with the tassel tieback.
"I'm not some animal who will run free outside once I'm loose from my chains." He said, taking me aback by how he interpreted what I said.
"I didn't mean it that way. I just... I want you to enjoy your vacation." I didn't have the courage to look at him so I decided to open the sliding glass door that led to the balcony. I left him inside and walked to the railings, draping my arm on the cold rail as I listened to the gentle rock of the water near the shore.
This was supposed to be a vacation where we all enjoy it together. But I guess it's alright if it doesn't have to be that way. I'm happy however they want to spend it. My eyes followed the seagulls flying above the waters as I drowned in my thoughts. Thinking mostly of Jungkook.
Lost deep in my thoughts, I didn't get to notice the presence making his way towards me from behind. Strong and muscular arms snaked their way around my waist, making me jump a little from surprise. My breath hitched when I felt Jungkook's head resting on my shoulder.
"J-Jungkook, w-what are you doing?" I stuttered, trying to deliver my question properly when I obviously couldn't. Heat once again crept its way on my cheeks.
"Hugging you, I guess," he answered. I could feel his firm and broad chest from behind, and I couldn't help but swallow from the contact. His warm breath tickled my neck as he relaxed from our position.
I cleared my throat and released a timid laugh. "W-we should go out and meet them at the plaza," I suggested and tried to remove his arm caging me, but he wouldn't budge. "Jungkook, your arm."
He exhaled a breath and detached his arm without saying a word. He went back inside and went out of my bedroom, leaving me feeling guilty.
Was I too persistent in wanting to get away from him? I just couldn't breathe properly around him, especially when he was that close to me. The closer he is to me, the more I lose my mind. I can't think properly and I'm always at a loss for words.
Should I make it up to him? I'm pretty sure he was fast to catch on to what I was hinting at a minute ago. He's probably left the villa already. A breath of disappointment escaped my lips as I retreated back inside my room. I changed my outfit before exiting the villa.
