Jimin's POV

Focus Jimin! You can do it! Just a little bit more!

I balanced myself while crouching down, holding tightly onto the hard narrow trunk of the inclined coconut tree. I have been eyeing this tree for a long time now, especially the coconuts that are clustered at the very top. I suddenly wanted to get and eat some so I didn't hesitate to climb this tree.

I'm already halfway through the top and though my insides are shaking so much, I continued to reach those fruits that I didn't know I was craving.

If you're wondering where the wolf is, he's gone back to the forest.

Yes, he. Because he responds to Jungkook's name so he's a he.

I haven't seen him the whole morning and I am starving, again. I finished the food he brought me the second time, my hunger won't allow me to eat less and save for the coming days, so after a day and a half, I consumed it all. Leaving me hungry once again. Leading me to where I am now.

Why didn't I escape? Well, is there a point in escaping when he would only track me down in less than a minute and bring me back here? I decided to just earn his trust and behave myself. Once I'm able to carve a place in his soft side, he'll probably allow me to leave, hopefully.

I focused on the coconuts and never dared to look down, not even a glance. I finally reached the top! I quickly wrapped my legs securely around the narrow trunk and locked my feet.

With the sharp knife I took from the kitchen I began taking the coconuts from the tree when I heard a thunderous bark from below. I immediately saw the wolf growling and glaring daggers at me, its teeth bared.

I rolled my eyes before pointing to the fruits and then pointing to my open mouth. But he only barked louder.

"Just wait! I'll be down in a minute!" I shouted. He began whimpering, walking back and forth while his eyes were fixed on me, watching me restlessly. I chuckled. Wasn't really expecting him to worry so much.

I successfully took one and looked down at him, "Catch!" I dropped the coconut. It landed before the wolf. He gave it a brief glance before focusing on me once more, hearing him whimper softly. "Stop worrying! I'll be down there before you can even speak!" That is if he can. I snorted before taking more until I already dropped four. Looking down, I counted five coconuts. I guess that's enough.

He was silent the whole time I took the others but he began worrying again when I was done and was about to go down. "Yeah yeah I'm coming down!" I sheathed back the knife and dropped it down with the coconuts. I hugged the trunk and carefully unfastened my feet. Carefully and slowly, I went down but unluckily, like how I've become since coming here, I misstep and slipped. And I happen to not tighten my hold on the trunk.

Everything seemed to slow down as I fell from the tree. The wolf barked in alarm and before I knew it, I was caught before I reached the ground.

I'm getting tired of always glimpsing death that seems to wait for me now and then.

I was only able to breathe when I was gently laid on the ground. The wolf whimpered and nuzzled his nose on my face, checking if I had any bruises or wounds. I snapped out of the shock and looked up to meet his crimson golden eyes.

The urge to rub and pat his head itched my hand but I held myself back and only showed a half-smile. "Thanks. . . again." I said lowly and stood up, dusting my clothes and hand from the sand particles. He kept looking at me with worried eyes when I walked to where my coconuts are. "I'm fine, don't worry. I'm still in one piece, see?" I spread my arms and turned around, letting him inspect my whole body.
