Chapter 26: Bloody Revelation

Jungkook's POV

'Move!' I shouted in my mind.

I dodged the creature at lightning speed, stomping my feet on the pebbles with full force, causing some small pebbles to fly away. With my strong feet planted on the ground, I pivoted my body around, my teeth bared and clenched.

I snarled and faced the creature that's been giving me the forbidding feeling but what my eyes beheld made me freeze in my position. My slitted angry eyes widened as I perceived the creature's whole form.

Fur, as silver as steel and as white as snow. Eyes that are as blue as the sky but deep as the ocean. Piercing cold blue eyes that can chill anyone's bones and can see right through your soul; eyes that are burning holes in me.

A wolf. . . a female wolf. . .

I can't believe what I'm seeing and I am certain that I am not dreaming. Though my whole body's frozen and my eyes are glued on her, my heart starts thumping loudly in my chest. I cannot believe that I met another wolf!

My golden-crimson eyes were locked on her cold piercing icy blue ones.

I've never seen another one of me for the past six years, not that I ever thought of searching for my kind. My fate was just slapped on my face when I lost everything, ever since then I was on my own, trying to survive while hiding in the shadows. And now. . . there's actually someone who's just like me. I can't help but feel excited, the forbidding feeling long gone.

I was snapped out of my mind and brought to reality when she suddenly charged at me. Eyes set on me seriously, teeth bared as she growled. My feet moved to avoid her when she was a few feet away from me, but she was still able to catch me.

Her body collided with mine and we both rolled on the rocky ground. She was on top of me and was surprisingly strong as she pressed me down on my chest with her front legs. I couldn't get up easily, it was as if a boulder of rock was on top of me and trying to crush me. Her mouth opened, revealing her set of teeth as sharp as knives, ready to end me in one sweep.

'Shit!' I cursed as I tried so hard to wriggle myself out and away from her powerful figure.

I barked and thrashed violently beneath her. She snapped back and dived to end me. My eyes flew open and I blocked her attack with my free forearm causing her to bite my forearm instead. I howled in pain as thick blood trickled down to my elbow, dampening my fur. Her sharp teeth buried deeper into my skin; her eyes filled with hostility set on me, watching the pain that swirled on my own.

I convulsed in pain from the puncture I received. My hind legs were then set free, using my strength, I forcefully kicked her hard on her underbelly, sending her to tumble harshly on her back. She snarled and got back on her feet, growling once again at me. Eyes fiercer than before.

I got back on my feet and limped away from her. Blood continuously dripped from my puncture, painting the ground beneath me in crimson red.

Pain flashed in my eyes and I knew she saw that. She saw how weak I became from just one attack. I could tell that she felt pleasure from the wound she gave me.

What. . . what's wrong with her? Why is she so hostile towards me? I'm her kind, we're the same! Why. . .

She began trudging and that caused me to do the same. My eyes were glued on her the whole time, not letting her out of my line of sight, she did the same. We circled each other, a good amount of distance between us. She licked her bloodied teeth, cleaning them from my blood.

How is she so strong and powerful? I have trained myself for years and yet I was wounded so easily by a female wolf. And the fact that that single attack weakened me and made me lose strength. It's frightening but it's not like she could defeat me that easily.
