I crept out of bed without waking Adley. I wanted her to sleep because she had a rough night last night. She was super sick and could hardly even sit up. I don't think she even got to sleep until around three in the morning. She's had a rough time with the pregnancy and it seems like as time goes, she's feeling worse.
I led Duke out of the room and into the kitchen.
Today we were finishing the baby's nursery. We were gonna wait a little bit longer but we just can't. It's almost done as it is, we just have to do a few things.
Duke ran to the back door and I let him out into the yard to do his business. Just as we came back inside, my phone buzzed and I laughed when I saw the text Adley sent me:

Adley❤️: [ Come back and cuddle🥺 I'm cold ]
[ be right there baby ]

I quickly put some food in Duke's bowl then headed to the bedroom. I couldn't help but smile as I walked in. Adley was all curled up under the covers and was clearly hugging onto the pregnancy pillow that my mom had bought her. I hate the thing but it makes Aldey comfortable so I won't complain,
"Good morning" she smiled once I walked over,
"Good morning" I laughed and pecked her lips then kissed her neck,
"That tickles. Stop and cuddle me" she laughed.
I laughed and climbed back under the covers, pulling her back to my chest and letting my hands rest on the baby bump. Just as I did, I felt our little girl kick at my hands,
"She knows it's you" Adley chuckled, feeling her kick up a storm just like I could,
"She's got some killer kicks. Maybe she'll be our little soccer player" I smiled,
"Maybe, but I'll be rooting for her to play basketball" Adley teased. I smiled and just held her,
"Are you wanting me to make breakfast or do you wanna go grab something?" I asked,
"Can we get something?" she yawned, "I really want Starbucks"
I nodded. I didn't have Starbucks in mind for breakfast but if that's what she wanted then that's what we are getting,
"Let's get out of bed then" I whispered,
"Okay but I'm not changing," Adley told me and rolled right out of bed.

After going through the Starbucks drive-thru, I backed into a parking spot so we could eat what we got. It's just easier then trying to drive and eat. Once the car was in park, Adley handed me my breakfast sandwich while she happily started to eat her lemon loaf while drinking a refresher and stealing sips of my coffee,
"I can't wait until I can drink my normal coffee intake" she spoke,
"Yeah? Well after you give birth I'll buy you a big coffee" I laughed,
"Nope because if I'm breastfeeding I still have to watch it"
I nodded,
"Speaking of" she started, "We need to open the pump because my boobs are leaking and I was told when that starts happening to start pumping and freezing the milk so we have extra when we need it"
My nose slightly turned up,
"Which also means, we need to clear a freezer to store it all" she added,
"We can probably clear out most of what's in the freezer in the kitchen. We can put most of what's in there in the garage freezer" I told her. She smiled with a nod.
As she talks about all this stuff, I realize I don't really know much of what is all really going to happen. Adley's been watching all these videos and reading books, so I guess I need to also,
"We still gotta figure out a name" I sighed,
"Well what do you like?" Adley turned a little more towards me,
"I don't really know" I sighed, "What do you think?"
"I like Emersyn and we can call her Emmie for like a nickname"
My heart fluttered when she said the name. As soon as she said it, it was like I loved it,
"You have a look baby" Adley laughed, "What you thinking?"
"I like that" I grinned, "Emersyn Rose Hood"
Adley grinned. We had already picked out the middle name. We said if it was a boy they'd have my middle name and a girl would have hers,
"Did we really say one name and pick it?" She laughed. I didn't even respond, I simply leaned over to where her stomach was,
"Hey Emersyn" I whispered and got an immediate kick in response,
"She likes it!" I beamed,
"That she does" Adley giggled, "Well we have name but we still have a lot more to do"
"Like finishing the nursery when we get home" I butted in.

After building both the crib and chair for over two hours, the nursery was done. I smiled at my handy work, shocked I could even do it,
"Adley, baby, come here!" I called. I heard shuffling then both her and Duke appeared,
"Babe!" she gasped, "Oh it's perfect"
"All ready for baby girl" I laughed and took my phone out to take a picture,
"Lemme guess, you're gonna post to show off your handy work?" Adley laughed,
"Well hell yeah I am"
