{ Adley }
"Okay ladies!" Coach yelled as we gathered at center field, "We have a game tonight against Arizona. Defense is key, but we also have to hit our shots- especially free throws"
He looked at all of us,
"Be in the locker room by 5 pm. Games at 7 pm. Make sure you have your player pass lists turned into the box office by 3 pm" he announced, "Now go shower, learn, and rest"
We all ran off to the locker room. Once I had showered, I grabbed my stuff and walked back to my dorm, texting Calum as soon as I fell onto my bed:
-messages-
[ I have a game at 7 tonight. I've
got 10 tickets I can give away. Do
you want to come? ]Cal❤️: [ OF COURSE! ]
[ Yay! When you get to the arena,
just go to the box office and
say you're on my player pass list ]————
I smiled. I was glad he was coming, but also nervous. That means I have to be on my game tonight.
{ Calum }
We were sitting around in the studio when my phone buzzed. A grin spread across my face when I saw it was Adley asking if I could come to her game tonight. I told her of course,
"You're smiley" Ashton sat down, "Aww you're texting your girlfriend"
"She has a game tonight and asked if I was coming. She gets like 10 player passes for people to come" I told him. He nodded and I watched his lips go into a thin line,
"What?" I sighed,
"You know she's nineteen right? You're twenty-four Cal. She can't even legally drink yet!" Ashton told me,
"Doesn't mean she doesn't drink or go out. She has a fake" I shrugged,
"Calum that's not my point. She's pretty young" he sighed,
"We're four years apart. Luke and Sierra and Michael and Crystal have a bigger gap than us" I fought,
"Yeah but she's younger not you. And she's not even twenty-one"
"Whatever" I rolled my eyes and got up. I was done with that conversation.

I got home and tossed my keys on the counter and my housemate, Roy, rounded the counter,
"What do you want for dinner?" He asked, opening the fridge,
"Doesn't matter. We can go get something. I'm going to my girlfriend's basketball game so I'm leaving at like six" I told him,
"Oh cool. Can I go?" He questioned. He was a lot cooler about this than the guys were,
"I can ask. She gets like 10 tickets" I shrugged and grabbed my phone:
-messages-
[ is there a way my housemate
Roy can come? ]Adley❤️: [ yeah! I was gonna ask
if you were bringing someone lol ][ Thanks Ads. I'll
see you in a bit ]————
"You can come" I nodded to Roy, "We can leave early and grab some food"
"Sounds good to me"

Roy and I walked up to the ticket box, making the lady look up,
"Hi. Are you on a players list?"
"Yeah. Adley Slater" I nodded,
"Oh wow. She's never had anyone on her list before. You must be special" she smiled and handed me two tickets,
"Thanks" I nodded.
We walked into the arena and found the seats. They were in a marked off section. There were others there, all in gray hoodies with players' first names on the back- I'm assuming parents, family, and friends.
I found the row with Adley's name and Roy and I sat in the middle of it,
"So she never has anyone come for her?" Roy nudged me,
"I mean her family's all in Florida so I guess not" I shrugged.
The team came out on the court and Adley was standing behind the three point line shooting. She's hardly missed one and it's just warm ups.
She stepped back to let someone else shoot. She was dribbling in place looking towards our section. Our eyes met and she grinned and waved. I waved back, a stupid grin probably on mine.
I couldn't help myself but the rest of warmups, I kept my eyes on Adley. Something about her playing ball turned me on a little. Her leg muscles would tense and her ponytail kept swaying back and forth.
The buzzer sounded and the teams went to the bench. They did the starting lineup for Arizona, then the lights went down and they moved onto UCLA. They did four of the starters then I saw Adley stand,
"A 5'4 forward, a sophomore from Orlando, Florida...ADLEY SLATER"
Roy and I clapped and cheered as she ran out and high fived her teammates. Once they did the national anthem, the game started.
I knew Adley was good- I mean she had to be since she got a full-ride scholarship and starts- but I didn't know she was that good. She was lighting up the scoreboard. She hadn't missed a shot yet. She was fast too. At one point she had ran down the court and blocked a shot from the other team- and that's saying something because she's short.
The game ended and UCLA won. Adley alone had twenty-six points.
Before Adley went back into the locker room, she climbed up the stands to me. I hugged and kissed her quickly not bothered by the sweat,
"You were awesome" I grinned,
"Thanks" she smiled then glanced at Roy,
"Oh yeah," I laughed, "Adley, this is my housemate Roy. Roy, this is my girlfriend Adley"
"It's good to meet you" Adley smiled,
"You as well" he nodded then Adley looked up at me,
"I've got to go" she sighed and pecked my lips, "I'll text you when I get back to my dorm"
"Alright," I laughed and watched her run off.
Roy hit my shoulder,
"Damn dude. You're hooked"
