Luke POV

God, I feel so bad for Zander...he doesn't deserve what happened to him. I've known him since we were little and he can get really upset when something bothers him

We both looked at each other as we were seated at a table near the window of Stacy's Mamamia Pizza. We had been doing a lot of talking about what happened to him, and he clearly needed to vent about it. He sighed as he moved around the straw in his cup. I decided now was a good time for me to surprise him, and I picked up my bag. "Ya leaving?" he asked. "Well..." I said as I reached into my bag. "I was wondering...would you want to go see a movie? I got us tickets to see Just Go With It"

Zander lifted his head and switches his gaze from the table to me. "Really...?" he said, and I nodded. "You need a break from the drama, so let's hang for a bit"

Zander's face flushed a bit of pink and I couldn't help but smirk a bit. He was cute when he got flustered like this..."U-Uh...yeah, sure. M-Movie sounds good" he said while rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. I smiled and pulled him up by his hand. "Great! Let's go!"

"That was...interesting" Zander chuckled as we walked out of the viewing room of the theater. I nodded. "It's a pretty good movie." The two of us stayed silent till we got outside. "My mom should be here to take you back to your place..." Zander said looking down. I nodded then looked up at the sky. It was pitch black with a slight tint of blue and a few stray stars were shining. I held Zander's hand again, and he squeezed mine back. We looked at each other and smiled, then his mom's car pulled up. We both got into the back, still holding hands. "You boys enjoy the movie?" she asked. I nodded and Zander began to talk about it like crazy. He's really sweet...I could listen to him talk for hours and I wouldn't get bored for even a second...

Zander POV

Later while on the way back home from dropping Luke off, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and took it out. There was a text from Hailey.

"Hey, I'm staying at Jake's tonight. He says hi. Can you let mom know she doesn't have to worry about picking me up tonight? Thanks ☺️"

I sighed and put the phone on the seat beside me. My mind swarmed with thoughts...she told me that he kissed her and she didn't want him to, but what if she was lying? I can't be too sure yet...there has to be a way to know
