Zander POV

The next few days felt like the passed by so slowly. I used to really enjoy the meetings we had together, but now they just feel awkward. Since today was a Friday, we decided it was a good day to hang out after school somewhere other than the music room. So we all went down to Starbucks. When we left school though, it was raining and none of us had umbrellas except Jake. Milly didn't care about the rain and just made sure the brim of her hat was covering her face. Sean took his sweater off and kept it over his head to shield himself and his bag with his computer inside. Jake took out his umbrella and pulls Hailey to his side, opening it so it covered the two of them. They do look happy together...

Suddenly, Luke took off his scarf and put it around me. I stared at him confused as the two of us made eye contact. We broke the gazing as we heard Sean say "You guys are pretty sweet together." Milly groaned. "No more PDA, my sensitive eyes can't take it!" I rolled my eyes at her and continued walking. I couldn't help but also continue staring at Hailey and Jake who seemed to be talking about something...it was hard to tell what though, over Milly rambling about something else with Sean. Probably pizza. They're both crazy about the pizza at the mall. And pizza in general. I looked down and stayed silent, keeping my gaze away from all of them including Luke. Eventually I think he could tell Hailey and Jake talking together was bothering me, and he whispered in my ear "don't let them get you down..."

I nodded silently then lifted my head. We got to Jake's car and got in. Him and Hailey were in the front, and the rest of us all squeezed together in the back. I fiddled with the end of Luke's scarf as Jake drove out of the school parking lot.

Once we got to Starbucks the rain had only gotten worse. This one didn't have a drive through though, so our clothes had to suffer. Inside was pretty busy, but finding a table wasn't too hard. After ordering, we all sat down and started talking. Hailey and Jake kept smiling at each other, and it made me sick. "Hey Jake, you and Hailey now together?" Milly asked. Hailey and Jake both flushed red. "W-Well...i-it....may be too early to say...." Hailey smiled nervously. "Aw, she's just being modest" Jake smiled while lightly poking Hailey's arm. Right as I thought I was gonna snap, our order got called. I sighed as Jake got up and got the trays with Sean.

"So tell me guys" Luke said while holding my hand. "You all dressing up for the Halloween costume dance?" "Oh yeah, I am!" Milly smiled. "I'm gonna be a corpse bride! What about you guys?"

I shrugged. I hadn't really thought about what to wear...well I mean, I had but...me and Jake kinda had matching costumes planned. We were supposed to be the mystery twins but...he's probably going as that with Hailey now, or maybe even something different. "I'm gonna be Ghostface" Sean smiled, then looked at me and Luke. "What about you guys?" I just shrugged again. "Not sure, still gotta think on it" Luke said. "You've been thinking for a while now, Luke" Milly said. "Anyways, Hailey! Jake! Costumes?" Hailey nodded. "It's confidential though" Jake smiled. I got an idea then...maybe me and Luke could have matching costumes....
