Chapter 10 - Forgiving

Chapter Ten:

Ranbir: (gripping her shoulders tightly) "How do you know all this? Tell me, dammit! How do you know?"
Pravya: (voice rising) "BECAUSE THE PRACHI YOU THINK IS DEAD IS ALIVE!"
The shock hit Ranbir like a thunderbolt. He slowly released her shoulders, his mind racing.

Ranbir: "What did you just say?"
Pravya didn't respond. Instead, she wiped her tears and hurried away, leaving Ranbir trembling, trying to process her words.
He sank to his knees, overwhelmed by a whirlwind of emotions.

Meanwhile, on Pravya's side...:

She slammed the car door, her heart racing. Driving recklessly, she barely noticed the chaos around her until she reached the Kohli mansion. Bursting through the entrance, she dashed straight to her room, locking herself in the bathroom.

Under the pounding shower, she let the water wash away her tears, replaying her confrontation with Ranbir. Memories of him flooded her mind-his laughter, his care, and the warmth of his words. She crumpled to the floor, sobbing uncontrollably.

Back to Ranbir...:

His thoughts spiraled as he recalled Pravya's words.

Ranbir: (thinking) "What does she mean by Prachi is still alive? How does Pravya know so much about her?"
He couldn't shake off the haunting questions.

Ranbir: (thinking) "Why didn't I ever think about how Prachi felt? Did I really consider her side in all this?"
The weight of his realizations crashed down on him.

Ranbir: (thinking) "How does she know about the last two years? Could Pravya... No, that can't be. She's nothing like Prachi. But she knows everything. I need to find out for myself."
With newfound determination, he stormed out of the office, heading straight for the Kohli mansion.

At Ranbir's Room:

Upon entering, he was taken aback. The room was impeccably arranged, a stark contrast to how he had left it. On the bed lay a small box. Curiosity piqued, he opened it to find a note that simply read: "SORRY."

Just then, a playful voice interrupted him.

Pravya: "Oyye!" (Hello!)
He turned to see her standing there, eyes brimming with tears and hands clasped over her heart.

Pravya: "Ranbir, I'm so sorry!"
Ranbir: (confused yet smiling) "For what?"

Pravya: "For everything I said. I let my emotions get the better of me. I didn't mean to be rude."
Ranbir: (with a warm smile) "It's alright. I get it. And if you happen to know where Prachi is, please tell her her 'baklu' is waiting for his 'chickchiki.'"
Pravya's heart skipped a beat at his words, reminding her of the love he still had for Prachi.

Pravya: (teary-eyed yet smiling) "You don't need to tell her that. Your chickchiki is already listening. She'll be back with you soon."
Ranbir: (excited) "Are you serious?"

Pravya: "Absolutely sure." (They exchanged hopeful smiles.)
Ranbir: "And no more ignoring? We can share everything now, right? Best friends and all?"

Pravya: (smiling) "Yes, best friends forever!"
Ranbir: (playful) "Really? You promise?"

Pravya: (slightly somber) "If you have a problem with that, I can back off..."
Ranbir: (laughing) "No way! We're best friends forever!"

The Next Morning:
At breakfast, Ranbir and Pravya exchanged cheerful glances while Rhea simmered with jealousy. As they ate, Pravya discreetly slipped a note to Ranbir from under the table. He opened it to find:

"You will very soon see your Prachi."

His heart soared. Pravya leaned closer, whispering into his ear.

Pravya: "Your Prachi gave me this to give to you. You'll see her soon!"
Ranbir could hardly contain his joy.

After breakfast, he stood up.
Ranbir: "Dida, Pravya and I need to head to the office for some urgent work. See you later!"
Pravya: "See you soon!"
Dida: "Alright, puttar."
(They both left, excitement bubbling between them.)
