Chapter 16 - Special moments

Chapter Sixteen:

In Pranbir's Room:
Later, Prachi entered their room, dressed in her night suit.

She was moving around quickly when Ranbir approached her, gently stopping her. "Hey, take it easy!"
Prachi chuckled, placing her hand on her forehead.

Ranbir then took her gently and helped her sit on the bed. "Remember, there's another life growing inside you. Always keep that in mind."

"Of course, Baklu," she replied with a smile. "I'll be sure to think about our son when I'm walking or doing anything!"
Ranbir teased, "But how do you know we're having a son?"

Prachi confidently replied, "I just know! I'm sure we're going to have a son."
"Let's see about that," he laughed.

"Yes, let's see!" she replied with a playful grin.
They exchanged light-hearted banter before snuggling together and drifting off to sleep, unaware someone was listening to their entire conversation.

The Next Morning:

Everyone gathered in the dining hall. Ranbir and Prachi made their way down, followed by Siddharth and Vividha.

As they all settled down, Rhea entered the kitchen, preparing dishes. Both Ranbir and Prachi exchanged suspicious glances at her unusual behavior.

Rhea announced, "I thought I'd prepare the meals today. I hope you all enjoy them!"
(But inside, she thought, Now the real fun begins.)

Prachi smirked, "Rhea, how about you eat first? We'd love to see what you made!"

Rhea was startled by the suggestion. "No, no, you all should eat first," she stammered.

"No, Rhea, you should eat since you worked hard on it," Prachi insisted.
Vividha chimed in, concerned, "Prachi Bhabhi, why do you want her to eat first?
Is something wrong?"

Prachi stood up and twisted Rhea's wrist, causing her to wince in pain.
As everyone rose from their seats, Prachi snatched something hidden in Rhea's hands, revealing it to the room before slapping Rhea hard across the face, knocking her to the ground.

Pallavi gasped, "Pravya, what have you done?!"

A furious Prachi shouted, "You've had enough, Mrs. Kohli! Ranbir, Dida, forgive me for what I'm about to do! I can't put up with her behavior anymore!"
She then marched over to Pallavi and pushed her badly sending her tumbling into Vikram's arms.

Everyone was in shock, especially Pallavi, who never expected to be pushed like that by Pravya.
"Did you both think I wouldn't find out?" Prachi yelled, her indignation boiling over.

Ranbir asked, concerned, "Prachi, what happened? Why did you push Mom like that?"

Prachi responded, "These two women tried to slip abortion tablets into my food to kill our baby!"
Gasps filled the room, especially from Ranbir, who was livid.

He stormed over to Rhea and hit her hard, blood oozing from the corner of her lips.
As he moved towards Pallavi, raising his hand to slap her as well, Dida and Prachi intervened, grabbing his arm.

"Why did you stop me, Dida?" Ranbir shouted, rage coursing through him. "She tried to kill my child! How many times has she tried to harm me too?
I can't hit her because she's my so-called mom!
I'm not like those sons who hit their mothers!"

Dida retorted, "Ranbir, stop hurting your hands by slapping this woman!"
Then she turned to Pallavi, slapping her hard, leaving her stunned.
For the first time, Pallavi realized the consequences of her actions.

Vikram exclaimed in disbelief, "Beeji, what are you doing?
Why are you slapping my wife for this stranger girl?"

Dida responded firmly, "This should have happened a long time ago! Vikram, if you were a strong man, I wouldn't have had to do this.
And Pallavi, if you were truly a good woman, I wouldn't have had to take such action."

Prachi declared, "We have all tolerated the antics of these three for far too long!
Now it's time for them to face the consequences!"

And on cue, a group of inspectors entered the room.

"Inspector Malhotra!" Prachi commanded, "Arrest these three immediately! And charge them with all pending cases against them!"

Inspector Malhotra nodded, "Yes, ma'am! We will follow your orders."
As the inspectors prepared to take them away, someone suddenly called out, "Stop right there! Let them know one more truth!"
Everyone turned in surprise to see who had spoken.

(Pause for suspense)

Who could possibly interrupt the arrest of Pallavi, Vikram, and Rhea? What shocking revelation awaits them?
