Christmas Cooking

Harry and I had Mariah Carey's 'Merry christmas' vinyl playing on our record player throughout the apartment, we were in the kitchen getting out the ingredients to make sugar cookies, we had christmas tree, gift, snowflake, showman, house's and santa cookie cutter's My mom used to make sugar cookies every year for christmas so we are following her recipe, last time we were there we got her to write the recipe down for us
Y/M/N SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon of baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

1 cup butter, softened

1 ½ cups white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Step 2. In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder, set aside

Step 3. In a large bowl, mix together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients

Step 4. Roll it out on to a cookie sheet and cut out the cookies until no more cookie dough left

Step 5. Cook 8 to 10 minutes

Step 6. Wait until cool, and ice them

So we are now in the middle of making them, we have already made the cookie dough and now we're just cutting out the shapes.

"Love when we're done, can we watch home alone again?" Harry asks me as he finishes his cookies and looks at me

You rolled your eyes "Harry, we have already watched that like twenty times since december first" you said as you place your last cookie on you cookie sheet

"But we both love it so much, It's our favorite Christmas movie" he stated as we put the cookies in the oven, I start washing the bowls.

We already made the icing we have red, white, black, white, green, yellow and pink we made it with icing sugar, a lot of it went to waste because of harry constantly eating it

I go out into the living room and I turn our record player off, and take our vinyl out, I put everything away and turn on our TV, Harry comes out with all the icing's and sets them on the table

We both go back into the kitchen and take our cookies out, we get out a cooling tray and put the cookies on them, heading back into the living room we set them down next to the icing, I go onto netflix and turn on home alone just for harry

It takes us about an hour to decorate them and half of our icing have gone to waste, after we finished we took pictures of the to post on instagram, he goes back to was the icing bowls because he wanted to clean them

As the movie was finishing we decided to post the on our instagrams
