Relationship Announcement

Fiddling with the index cards on her lap the interviewer looked from Jesy to Jade and then to you. You quickly averted her gaze because you could tell from the smirk on her face that she was going to bring up your love lives and sure enough, she did.

"So it seems your fans have taken quite the interest in knowing your current relationship statuses," she began as her complacent smile grew larger on her face. "So girls," she paused and looked at all 5 of you. You all exchanged glances and Perrie quickly tapped your knee as if to tell you to speak up about your hidden relationship with Harry.

You wanted to tell the world about yours and Harry's relationship but you knew that with that it would spark major conflict. Harry was dead set on keeping it hidden from the public because it was a sensitive topic to bring up, but the heavy and hard hitting weight on your shoulders was driving you crazy.

"Who here is single?" No one raised their hands as the group of fans in the audience began to collectively make "ooh" noises. The interviewer clapped her hands together and asked each girl individually who they were with even though she knew about practically all of their relationships already.

"So Y/N," she began to direct all of her attention on you. "I have someone in mind because I know his band mates like to hint at a blossoming relationship but I'm not sure..." You took a quick pause as she spoke and looked at the girls for some reassurance to move onward. They nodded and you took in a deep breath.

"Uh, well it's kind of been a private thing until now but I'm with Harry from uh, One Direction." Your cheeks instantly began to burn and turn a flushed color of red. You covered your face with your hands and the girls playfully swatted at you.

"I knew it!" She began a large grin grew across her face. "I'm very happy for the two of you and I wish you well. I wish all of you girls well." She said politely and the show wrapped up.

"How come you told them Y/N?" Harry said, his voice bridging with anger. You knew how strongly he felt about keeping your relationship private but you couldn't refrain from sharing the information. It was grating down your nerves and it drove you crazy. Hiding it wasn't going to make anyone feel better which is why you needed to share it.

"Harry I just couldn't hold it back any longer. I wasn't going to lie to my fans when I was asked directly if I was single or taken. I respect them too much," you said softly. Harry wasn't angry and you weren't going to fight with him about something that doesn't need to be fought over. "I needed to do it and I'm sorry if I went against what you wanted. I kept this hidden for such a long time and I couldn't do it anymore, it wasn't fair to anyone." You let out a deep sigh and Harry did as well.

"I'm not mad I just wish you would've talked to me about this before," he said softly. His anger evaporated from his voice and it provided you with a great deal of comfort. "I want the best for us too and you're right." Harry said defeated. "I'm sorry that I made you do this, you're completely right. It's not right to lie to everyone like that."

You nodded your head and quickly pressed a kiss to his cheek. You were thankful that you had such an understanding boyfriend.
