The sun had just started descending, hiding behind the notorious skyscrapers that made up the breathtaking skyline of the Manhattan island. Most hardworking New Yorkers were clocking out and commencing their commute back to their loved ones. For others, like Harry and Y/N, the sunset marked the start of their evening.

The invitation had arrived three weeks ago, a day after Harry had arrived from Canada. It came in a sealed, off-white envelope. Mrs. Johnson handed it directly to the man of the house since it was addressed to him only. He was in utter disbelief when he read over the fine print of the simple yet tasteful wedding invitation.

Jasper Beauchamp — his longtime family friend was finally marrying the love of his life. Harry and Jasper went way back to middle school. Their families had always been close. Their mothers attended the same high school and socialized with the same group of women.

"There are so many people" Y/N pointed out the growing congestion of cars gathered by the entrance of The Plaza. Harry sat beside her, their hands intertwined resting on his lap. He wore a black suit without a tie. The top three buttons of his dress shirt unbuttoned: pulling the entire look together. He wore his expensive collections of rings ranging from Cartier to Gucci. Accompanied by another watch from his collection. On top of it, he smelled like heaven. It only made Y/N more uncomfortable and the tension between them grow. He looked utterly delicious.

"S'not surprising" Jasper had just tied the knot with his childhood friend — Claire Fisher. She was a sweet girl who came from a middle-class family in Florida. Jasper had met her during a family vacation when they were only fifteen. They had been separated due to circumstances like college and work later on. But ever since Jasper had always kept taps on Claire until five years ago. When he grew tired of dating socialites and listening to his parent's advice. He knew he had already found the woman of his dreams and it seemed very silly to him to continue searching for someone he had already found. "We'll take an Uber home, Daniel. Say hello to the missus" Harry unbuckled his seat belt and got out of the car first. He stood back and lend Y/N his hand for her to get out "Let's go!" He called out over the honking and the commotion of the atmosphere.

"Goodnight, Daniel" Y/N giggled as she slid out of the car, careful not to flash anyone. Harry gripped her hips and guided her towards the sidewalk. "It's freezing!" She exclaimed as they waited for the light to change for them to cross. Harry couldn't erase the smile off his face. It was cold but he couldn't help feeling warm when he was around her. He felt comfortable around her.

"If we stayed in the car, we would've never arrived" Harry wrapped his arms over her shoulders momentarily until the light changed and they continued their fast pace walk towards the luminous and glamorous hotel. "Plus, it's a bit fun" Y/N laughed as they walked through the crowds. To the crowds and numerous people, they pass by, they look like two young people, foolishly in love.

Just as they came across the entrance of the hotel, Harry turned his graze to his stunningly beautiful date. Her face was flushed from the cold air and her cheeks matched the red carpet they stood on. She was slightly out of breath, but a smile remained. The CEO took her cold hands and blew into them, using his hot breath to warm her skin.

"Is my hair, okay?" The close proximity to the hotel made her insecurities surface. She looked over his shoulder trying to get a glimpse of herself through the glass that covered the hotel's exterior. Her hair is up, gathered in a delicate and elegant low bun. A few strands of hair had slipped and carelessly framed her face.

"You look lovely, darlin" Harry kissed her cold cheek just as he walked her into the warm hotel lobby.
