Pretend I heard your heart

  "Guys, whers my bandana?" I yelled into the room, but my voice ecoed through the quiet space. Since what had happened everyone has beem really quiet and scared. I could also tell that Calum was somewhat mad too which i didnt understand why. I peeked my head through the door and saw the room had nobody in it. 

  "Guys?" I walked fully into the room and still didnt see nor hear them. Suddenly the door that led to the hallway burst open.  It was Michael and he was panting like he had just been running around. 
  "Ash we can't find Sam!" My heart skipped a beat as I thought about the other night. Could she have...no Ashton don't think like that.  I dropped what I had in my hand and ran out unto the hallway.
  "Sam!" I called frantically searching in every room we passed. Michael was right behind me and was rechecking all the rooms that I had already opened. My mind was pulling its self a part as I tried to think of places where she could be. I stopped suddenly when I caught a glimpse of the staircase. I ran over to it and threw the door open then looked up the steep stairs.
  "Sam!" I waited for a moment hoping I would hear something but when I didn't I turned back around and began to walk out but a small sniffle stopped me. I froze then felt myself breath. I turned back and ran up the steps. When I got to the third flight I saw sam in the corner hugging her knees. I walked forward and sat down next to her.
  "Hey." I said quietly trying not to startle her. She lifted her head and I could see her tear stained cheeks. I took my hand to it and rubbed her tears away. She looked at me softly but then tilted her head away telling me she didn't want me touching her. I took my hand and thought of something to say.
  "Sam. I'm sorry for avoiding you. I never should have left you to feel like that. I feel like shit for doing that to you. If I could go back and change what I did, I would. Understand that I care for you and I will never leave you again."
  As I talked I was staring deep into her eyes trying to get her to understand. I was so buisy concentrating on her eyes that I didn't notice the tears streaming down both of our faces. I fell out of my trance when she reached up and touched my cheek. I smiled and we both stood up. I took her hand and carefully led her down the stairs and back to the stage where we had to be because I needed to perform. We walked up to where I was supposed to be and saw the boys standing. They looked up and their eyes filled with relief as they rushed over to Sam. Surprisingly she let them hug her. I watched as the boys overwhelmed her with hugs and 'I miss you's'. Once they were done they turned their attention to the stage where we were about to play.
  "Guys...what song are we singing first?" Calum asked cautiously. I smiled him and hit his back.
  "You'll remember." His eyes widened in fear as I walked away and toward the stage where our names were being chanted by the crowd. Luke came and stood beside me.
  "Was she alright?" I looked to my side not wanting to answer the question. I guess he got the memo because he started to walk away.
  "Alright guys you ready to go?"  Luke said as he walked toward the others. They smiled and started to bounce around. We heard a loud voice come over the speaker that announced us. One by one, we walked out on stage and found our places.
  Before we started playing, Calum and Luke started to talk.
  "Hey everybody!" Luke shouted then paused for the crowd to scream. When they died down somewhat Calum began to speak.
  "Hey guys we are going to be playing a new song so...I hope you enjoy." The crowd creamed some more then we began to play.
  "Tonight were fading fast, I just want to make this last, if I could say the things that I want to say, I'll find a way to make you stay, I'll never let you get away, catch you in all the games we played. So go ahead rip my heart out. Show me what love's all about. And go ahead rip my heart out. That's what love's all about." luke sang the first part and then we all joined in.
  "And I want you to want me this way. And I need you to need me to stay."
  "If you say that you don't feel a thing. If you don't know then just let me go..." (I know that isn't a new song but whatever) for the rest of our three hours, we sang Don't stop, Amnesia, disconnected, wrapped around your finger, and several other songs. We also talked to the crowd and took an intermission.
  After everyone returned, we went back to play some more but just as we started to play I stopped them.
  "Wait!" All the boys turned and looked at me with a confused look. "Hey guys I um...I wanted to call someone out with us." I paused and stood up then began to run to off stage. I looked around for Sam then saw her sitting on the floor halfway asleep. I laughed to  myself then went over to her to wake her up.
  "Hey Sam..." I said sing songeldy. Her head flicked up like she was just falling asleep. Her eyes widened at me and she smiled a little.
  "Is...is it over?" She yawned and stretched her arms out after I helped her up.
  "No but I need you to follow me." I took her hand and began to jog back to the stage. When I entered the boys were talking about something but were interrupted by the roar of screaming fans. I looked over my shoulder and saw that Sam looked frightened and tired which made me want to comfort her even more. I walked up to where luke was standing and placed Sam next to him, then pushed him out of he way. I stood in from of the microphone and started to speak.
  "Everyone this is Sam." The crowd erupted again and I felt Sam press up against my side. I smiled at her touch then put my arm over  her shoulder. I glanced at Calum and noticed that be was ready to pounce but I didnt care. I pulled her tighter and started to talk again.
  "Well guys. I want to say something." Sam looked up at me with a confused expression.
  "Look...I kinda messed up. I did something stupid that I shouldn't have and...I hurt someone because of my actions. And...sam...I'm sorry." I heard the crowd coo with aww's. "Sam I hope you cab forgive me for any pain I have caused you." She had tears streaming down her face that I so badly wanted to wipe away but I restrained myself. She was holding back a smile and I could tell because the edges of her lips were curved up. I reached down and grabbed her hands and I could tell that she wanted to pull away but I held her hands tight so she couldn't pull away.
  Over my thoughts, I heard the crowd began to chant.
  "For-give-him! For-give-him!" I wanted to smile but I didn't despite how much I wanted to, I didn't. She squeezed my hand and more tears fell from her sweet eyes. I took my mouth away from the microphone and started to talk to just sam.
  "Sam please forgive me. I care for you and nothing you will say, or anything either of us will do, I will always love you." I suddenly felt my breathing get heavy and my palms get sweaty. I had just told sam I love her. Wow. She started nod her head slowly, but she soon was nodding furiously. She threw her arms around me and hugged me tight. I hugged her back and I heard the crowd scream in happiness. She pulled away and looked at me.
  "Ashton thank you....I do forgive you." I smiled and hugged her again. Something tapped me on the shoulder and when I lifted my head I saw a pissed of Calum looking at me.
