***Ashton's POV***
She has never done it to this extent. Never. I-i...didn't know what to say.
"Sam..." She started to cry and I went to hug her but she stopped me.
"Sam what's wrong?" She shook her head and looked away from me.
"I don't...think I should trust you Ashton." Trust me? What? Why!
"Why would you say that?" She hesitated and started to play with her hands.
"Because...something inside of me says I shouldn't." I opened and closed my mouth as I tried to say something, but I wasn't sure what to say.
"Ashton I remembered something." My eyes darted up to her and I grabbed her shoulders.
"What was it? Sam what did you remember?" She started to cry some more which made me feel bad.
"Crying." I let her go and rolled my eyes somewhat.
"Yes sam you are crying-"
"No! I remember crying. All of it." All of it? That's too many times.
"Oh...um I'm sorry i-i didn't know.." I stepped away from her so she would be comfortable.
"D-do you know where Luke is?" She asked hesitantly.
"You want Luke?" I said, my voice now full of pain and jealousy. She nodded her head and I pointed down the hall to where he was. She nodded her head in thanks and kept her head down as she walked away.
Why would she want Luke? I felt like crying right now because Sam, the girl I would do anything for, doesn't trust me.
***Luke's POV***
Everyone came off of stage and went into the dressing room to get cooled off, except for Ashton. As soon as we walked off, he left and started to walk around.
I ignored his strange actions and found myself sitting on a couch wiping my brow with a towel. We were all sitting in silence, about to fall asleep, when there was a small knock at the door with a quiet voice following.
"Luke..." I sprang up, suddenly not feeling tired anymore, and opened the door to a worn out Sam. My eyebrows furrowed in worry as the look of Sam started to scare me.
Her hair was messy and her forehead looked blotchy from crying. Her eyes were red and puffy which told me she was, but why? I continued to examine her body, and when j reached her bare arms, I sucked in a breath of horror.
"Sam! W-whats the matter." I held my arms out for her and she gladly walked into them with tears streaming down her face. I wanted for an answer, but she just shook her head and cried into my shirt that was now wet from tears.
"Sam," I said softly, hoping not to disturb her. "Everything's going to be ok." I stroked her long hair till she was only catching her breath from crying.
***
"Hey sam..." I said in a sing song voice as I played with her hair. After crying, she was pretty tired, so I let her lay down on the couch I was on a few moments before, till she fell asleep. Its been about an hour now, and we needed to leave now.
All of us, me and the boys, were going to leave our vacation early to go back home because all of us are hoping that something there will jog Sam's memory. Anything to gt sam back is what we were hoping for. She has been through so much in the last month, and then to just forget it all, I wouldn't know what to call it, a blessing or a curse?
Sam's eyes cracked open but she shut them again and turned to her side after groaning.
"I don't wanna get up." She said, her voice muffled from the blankets. I cracked a smile and started to play with the back of her neck, making her shrink down in her shoulders and start to laugh herself.
"Why?" My smile melted away and I felt myself getting annoyed. We needed to go now or we would miss our flight. But she lay there so quiet and drained, I couldn't be the person to drag her out of her comfort.
"Why? Because we are going somewhere and we need to get there soon." She shook her head slightly but enough for me to see.
"No I mean...why I's this...this?" I stopped and let her words sink I before i could come up with an answer.
"I don't know Sam. Sometimes life chooses war over compromise." That was all I could come up with beclfor I got her out of bed.
We all made it to the boating dock where we took a small plane instead of a boat because we wanted to get back home as soon on as possible. While at the dock, there were people holding signs that read 'we love you Sam' and 'we will always be in your heart even though you may not remember'. That was really sweet. I'm glad our FAM sees how important she is to us, and goes out of their way to support her and us.
We all boarded the private plane and took a seat, and buckled in. Ever since we left, Sam hasn't let me go. She seems to be connected to me, and if she gets disconnected she will loose her mind. I led her over to a chair and offered her to sit down because there was only one seat but she shook her head and insisted on me to sit down. So I did, then took her by the waist and placed her on my lap, receiving nasty glances from Ashton.
I know he likes her...a lot actually. We all do. So no need to say that I was enjoying his right now, but I still felt bad because she necessarily Ashton's, even though he hasn't said it yet or asked her out.
"Luke?" She whispered into my ear making me shiver.
"Go to sleep Sam." I whispered back as I played with her hair. She didn't protest like I thought she would. She just nodded her head and placed it on my shoulder and began to fall asleep, emotionally drained from today's events.
