What Sev wants, Sev gets

After a morning of meetings and pretending you didn't want to rip Loki's throat out with your bare teeth, you were finally in the comfort of your own room, doing Sevens hair.

"Mummy?"

"Yes baby." You replied pausing your movements in her hair.

"Park." She cheered.

"That's not how we ask Sev." You corrected.

"Can we park please." She replied quickly.

"It's can we go to the park please." You smiled continuing to put her hair into two french braids. You thought for a few moments about taking her to the park. It wasn't entirely safe out there as far as you were concerned however, there was a park not too far away plus you could defend yourself if needs be and you had the avengers on speed dial.

"Yes we can go to the park princess." You said making Seven shriek with joy as if she never gets to do anything.

"I want daddy to come." She added.

Taking a deep breath, you rolled your eyes. The last thing you wanted was to spend time with Loki after last nights discovery. You thought back to this morning, the audacity of Loki to march into the room threatening everyone, forcing them to obey you the sexy bastard. Arghhhhh.

"Let's go just us Sev, it'll be fun." You tried to convince her causing her to pout. What Sev wants, Sev gets you thought to yourself when you reached your final decision. "Why don't you go get daddy."

Around 10 minutes later, Seven and Loki were at your door, both dressed to go to the park. At least Loki could teleport the three of you shortening your time out. Stepping towards Loki, you glared up at him.

"Teleport us" you ordered.

"No" he grinned.

"Do it." You demanded.

"Why?" He teased grinning wider.

"Because I don't want to walk there with you." You spat poking his chest.

"Fine." He said rolling his eyes before pulling you into a hug whilst wrapping his other arm around Seven and transporting the three of you behind a shed in the park.
When the three of you landed, you promptly pushed Loki away. "You didn't have to do that" you huffed before taking one of Sevens hands and walking with her into the park as Loki followed closely behind.

Seven climbed around on the climbing frame, sliding down the slide with her "best friends" that she had met like 5 minutes ago as you and Loki watched her.

"Y/N, talk to me please." Loki pleaded turning to face you.

"Loki I've got nothing to say. We have bigger problems to deal with right now like the threat to our family." You reminded crossing your arms.

"Our" he repeated.

"Yes, our. Regardless of what's happened, you're still Sevs dad, Thor is still her uncle, we're still a family despite whoever it really is that gets you going." You scoffed.

"Y/n, it's not like that you know I didn't mean for what I said to come out like that." He explained.

"Oh fuck youUUU look great up there Sev, well done!." You smiled at the waving child sitting at the top of the slide and not sliding down. You gestured for her to slide down but she just shook her head and resumed looking around, clearly in her own world. "Go and get her." You said looking towards Loki.

You sat at a bench as Loki and Seven played in the park. Occasionally, you'd focus your attention on another mum who'd either ask to sit next to you or who'd comment on how much of a lovely family the three of you were. How lovely it is to see the world through rose coloured glasses you thought to yourself when you'd fake laugh and say thankyou.

After a while of playing, you saw Loki and Seven walking towards you, Seven with a rose and Loki holding a bouquet.

"For you." He simpered handing you the bouquet.

"I love your rose Sev." You said with an over exaggerated gasp looking down at her. "Let's go home." You added, grabbing her hand as the three of you walked back to where you landed. "Don't hug me." You remarked looking at Loki who settled on instead grabbing your hand. When you all arrived back at the compound, outside your room, you told Seven to go and show Thor her beautiful flower before being alone with Loki. Looking down at the flowers in your hand, you smiled at them and looked back at Loki who smiled too until it fell when you began whacking them against the wall. Instantly, you remembered a similar situation years ago when Bucky had given you flowers. You angrily hitting them against the wall as Loki watched. Throwing them on the floor, you began hysterically laughing shaking your head in disbelief at the situation.

"Arghh you don't understand what you've done Loki."

"I—"
"Let me finish, you didn't just kiss someone else Loki, you fell in love. You fell in love. I was here grieving, barley sleeping, I ran away and meanwhile you had fallen in love. Do you understand how much that h-hurts? How inadequate I feel? How insufficient you've made me feel? It seems she was everything I wasn't. She 'showed you a better you' didn't she? So please please let's just focus on protecting Seven okay because I-I let's just focus on Sev." You said trying to stop your lip from trembling as you used the back of your hand to quickly wipe away a few escaped tears.

Loki was about to speak before you both saw Nat walking towards you. You took a steadying breath as you smiled at her.

"Y/n, Loki, just letting you both know that I'm organising a small engagement party. It's late I know but what the hell. I hope you don't mind you know with everything that's going on." She informed, nervously anticipating your answer after she spoke.

"Ahh Nat that's wonderful!" You congratulated as you hugged her.

"Yes, wonderful" Loki added, slightly dejected as he turned and walked back to his room.

"What's wrong with him, has something happened?" Natasha questioned as she pulled back.

"Everything's fine, he's just cranky because I won't follow him to his bed right now." You chuckled.

"Hmm, okay" she replied clearly unconvinced
