When you opened the door and walked into your room, you thought it would feel like coming home but it didn't, it felt as if you'd never left, as if the last 6 years were nothing but fiction. The only thing that reminded you that it was real was the 5 year old in your arms.
You pulled back the covers to lay Seven down and a wave of memories flooded you. It was sickening. 6 years of being away and now you were back as if nothing had changed. Seven was exhausted with all the travelling so she fell asleep quickly, it only took about half of a made up story for her to be out cold. As you stood up from the bed, you heard someone tap the door.

"Loki?" You called quietly.

"No it's me."

You opened the door and stood outside whilst you and Tony spoke.

"I guess the pregnancy test was positive that day" he laughed pointing at the sleeping 'princess' in your bed.

"Yes it was" you laughed back.

"Loki's?"

"Can't you see the resemblance?"

"Now you mention it, she is quite sassy."

You and Tony stood at the door trying to quiet your laughter as you searched for the courage to ask the burning question that had been playing on your mind since you walked into the room.

"Tony?"

"Hmm?"

"Where's the dust? Why is the bedding clean? It's been 6 years and everything is spotless."

Tony sighed before answering.

"It's Steve, he spent a lot of time in here whilst you were gone. He ensured he kept everything clean thinking any day you would walk through that door."

"Oh" you replied dolefully, feeling guilty about your actions towards Steve earlier.

"He didn't mean what he said y/n. Sometimes he doesn't know how to express his emotions." Tony reassured as he put a hand on your shoulder.

"You know, he once said the same about you." You smiled "about London—"

"You get some rest, we'll talk about London tomorrow as well as a few other things okay." He said placing a chaste kiss on your cheek before walking off.

Creeping back inside the room, you pulled the covers back before slipping into the bed next to Seven. You thought about what Steve said. It was true. You had left Thor without a second thought here to grieve without the one person who'd feel Loki's loss as much as he did. You took the closest thing Thor would have had to Loki away from him and nurtured it, keeping it all to yourself for 6 years. It was selfish. Perhaps if you'd stayed, you would have been able to share a fraction of your minuscule happiness with everyone in the form of your little bundle of joy. You dozed off trying not to let the nightmares that usually do consume you. The feeling of someone slipping into the bed behind you is what woke you up.

"Y/n, y/n, are you awake?" Loki whispered.

"No."

"Y/n, y/n I love you."

"You're drunk."

"Thor has Asgardian mead. We've been celebrating." He chuckled "your hair smells really nice" he said inhaling your hair has he pulled you back towards him, wrapping his arms around you.

"Stop it" you laughed when his hand moved to cup your breast. "Sevs asleep."

"We don't have a sleeping child in my room, let's go there." He suggested.

"Loki we can't" you giggled as his hand travelled lower.
"Can't we?" He teased.

Turning around, you put a finger on Loki's lips silencing him.

"Get up then" you whispered with a grin causing him to return it as he stood up and grabbed your hand.

You both walked out of your room giggling quietly as you both "shhed" each other. Loki pushed open his door and both your smiles fell.

"Your room was kept all nice and my one has been used for what is this, storage" Loki complained picking something up from one of the boxes before throwing it back on the floor. "They've filled my room with their rubbish." Loki whined as you tried your hardest not to laugh as he looked as if he was about to cry.

"I'm sure we can still take advantage of the small space." You said teasingly as you pushed Loki back against the wall.

"Is that right." He smirked.
