The rest of the night, you felt safe, asleep in Loki's arms. He was here, you were safe. The pain in your leg had mostly subsided thanks to him and you thought about the future. Did Scar have measures set in place in case of his death? Were there others who knew of Loki's heritage? Sevens? Were you safe now? Who had been feeding Scar the information? Were you wrong to kill him? Eyes snapping open, you sat up, feeling yourself drenched in a cold sweat. You kept trying to tell yourself you were safe. You looked down at a Loki sleeping, smiling to yourself, you laid back down and tried to resume your slumber. When your head hit the pillow, you felt Loki drape one of his arms over you.

"Are you alright?" He mumbled half asleep.

"I'm fine love" you replied closing your eyes. After a while, you fell into a dreamless sleep.

The sound of Seven coming in with Natasha woke you up. Opening your eyes, you saw that Loki was already awake and sitting on the chair.

"Morning sunshine." Natasha smiled as she walked towards you "how's the leg?"

"Been better" you laughed before remembrance hit you. "Natasha."

"Yeah."

"We've got a hen night to plan." You grinned.

"Hen night? Y/n, there's no rush." She assured.

"Nonsense, you've been waiting for the wedding for so long and you've put it on hold for my family. There's no Scar now, no danger, let's get you hitched." You insisted, sitting up.

"You should be resting." You heard Steve comment as he walked into the room holding flowers "how are you?"

"Well, if last night is anything to go by, she's absolutely fine. Good morning y/n, can I get you anything for the pain?" Stephen asked as he walked in after Steve.

"Morning Steve, morning Doctor" you waved trying to ignore how embarrassed you felt by Stephens 'jest'.

"Do you need anything for the pain?" Stephen asked again as he walked towards your bed.

"I'm fine thanks Doctor" you said shaking your head.

"Please, call me Stephen." He said dramatically, putting a hand to his heart.

"I prefer Doctor, I think it's fitting" you winked "when you're abracadabraying me a clean change of clothes, I'll call you sorcerer."

"Why not just Stephen?" He said, pushing guiding everyone to the corner of the room "all of you go in there, I need to check y/n's leg and I'm sure she'd appreciate the privacy."

"Please, I've worn dresses higher than where I was stabbed" you laughed.

"I'll get Seven some breakfast then we'll be back." Loki said, turning around and trying to speak past Stephen who was blocking him. "Get off me, off" you heard Loki complain before going through the portal Stephen made.

"Right, let's take a look at that leg." Stephen clapped as he walked towards you. "Do you mind?" He asked gesturing to your hospital gown.

"Go ahead" you nodded, prompting Stephen to pull it upwards, revealing your thigh. You tried to ignore the awkwardness as his gaze flicked from your eyes to your thigh. He began unravelling the bandage whilst you watched him.

"Could you not look at me." He chuckled, pausing his movements.

"Sorry." You smiled, turning away for a moment before looking back when you saw he wasn't looking at you.

"You're looking."

"You're a doctor, you should be used to this."

"People intently watching me work? Yeah, not used to it, especially when it's someone as beautiful as yourself." He joked.

"Messy hair and eye bags, I truly am a picture of perfection." You laughed.

"Always." He smiled looking at you. "You're um, leg is fine, well more than fine. It seems to be healing really quickly." He said, looking away from you.

"I have mischief to thank for that." You beamed, sitting up and angling yourself to the edge of the bed before trying to stand up.

"Careful." Stephen warned, rushing in front of you incase you fell.

"Look, I'm walking." You exclaimed "I'm definitely getting Nat to plan the hen night."

"To wear one of the short dresses you were just talking about." He teased.

"No!" You said furrowing your brows "shorter."

You both laughed whilst you took a few steps around the room.

"One sec" Stephen affirmed before opening a portal and running out of it holding a pair of your tracksuit bottoms and a hoodie.

"Now I can call you sorcerer." You smiled taking the clothes from Stephen.

"I'd still prefer Stephen."

Stephen put a new bandage around your wound whilst he spoke about some of his most awkward encounters whilst working in the hospital. Once he was finished, Loki and Seven came back with a tray of breakfast, Seven holding some flowers. Stephen left the three of you alone.

"Loki stop it." You chortled, pushing him away as his hand, holding a spoon came towards your mouth, again.

"What's wrong with me feeding you?" He quipped.

"I don't need it—mmm that's nice" You hummed tasting the yogurt.

"Now taste this one." He urged "you'll love it."

The three of you spent the rest of the morning eating and laughing before you got dressed and decided to head up to the rest of the team considering you had a party to plan. Almost everyone seemed to be in the common room with the exception of the person you wanted to talk to at that moment.

"I'll be back." You said to Loki before kissing him on the cheek and heading for Thor's room. Knocking the door, you heard a "come in!" Entering, you saw that Thor was probably on his way out.

"Oh it's you. How are you lady y/n?" He asked, pulling you towards a chair "you mustn't stand for too long. What troubles you?" He asked.

"It's your mother."

"My mother?" He questioned, knitting your brows.

"She really loves you." You simpered.

"She was a remarkable mother, a noble queen" he reminisced as he looked down "you remind me of her y/n."

"Come here." You said, opening your arms before Thor accepted your hug "thank you."

"I really miss her." He sobbed into your shoulder "can I call you sister."

"And now you're pushing it." You tittered.

After a while, you both left together and headed towards the common room.

"Right, let's plan some parties" you announced.
