The rest of the night, you, Loki and Sev watched some films together in Loki's room. Loki said it was better to live in the now, enjoying one another instead of wasting time thinking about the future. Seven, as per usual, fell asleep in between you both prompting you to change the film to something a little less animated and targeted at children under 10. Feeling in the mood for something coming of age and lighthearted and knowing Loki hadn't watched the classics, you opted for clueless. You both watched it happily together until Josh came on the screen.

"Oh my gosh, he looks exactly like Scott!" You exclaimed, quickly remembering Sev was asleep before putting a hand over your mouth.

Loki turned to you, mockingly putting a finger over his lips as he pointed at Seven. Trying to reach over without waking Seven, you grabbed Loki's hand and bit it, quickly covering his mouth before he could make a noise. Pointing at Seven, you made a shushing gesture.

"He does look like Lang." Loki said as he retracted his hand "and next time, a little less teeth and slightly lower." He teased.

"You are unbelievable." You tittered before looking back at the screen.

A knock on the door caused you both to turn to it.
"I'll go." Loki said as he pulled back the covers and stood up. When he opened the door, he was met by Tony who looked as if he had bad news.

"Is y/n in here?"

"Yes" you said as you stood up and walked towards the door, standing next to Loki.

"Fury wants to see everyone tomorrow morning, I think we've made progress with this Scar. He's being pretty vague but he'll be here at 7AM for a meeting." Tony explained.

"That's in about 4 hours." You scoffed.

"Y/n, he said he also wants everyone dressed for the meeting." He added.

"Dressed? As in—"

"Yes" Tony nodded knowing that you were referring to your suits.

You and Loki both nodded before closing the door.

"I guess tomorrow we have mission." You whispered.

"Indeed." Loki replied, clearly worried.

You both headed back towards the bed to get some sleep before the morning meeting. Instead of sleeping, you found yourself tossing and turning, dreading the mission. Perhaps you'd finally come face to face with Scar. What if they were still planning on killing you or Loki? Would the team be strong enough to kill them? Maybe you'd get answers. Why did they want us dead? How did they know about Loki's heritage? Had they been looking for you these past 6 years? Why me? Us? Turning to face Loki, you saw that he was lying on his back with a similar contemplative look as he stared at the ceiling.

"Loki" you uttered.

"Hmm" he hummed.

"Can't sleep?" You questioned.

"No, you?"

"Nah."

Getting up, Loki walked towards your side of the bed as you sat up. Sitting next to you, you let your head fall on his shoulder as he put an arm around you. You both sat in silence, dreading Fury's meeting, knowing that it could potentially change everything. You were no less worried in Loki's embrace but at least you were together. After a while, He kissed your forehead before standing up, seeing daylight begin to peak through the curtains. You headed to your room to quickly shower and change whilst Loki watched the still sleeping Seven. As you walked back into Loki's room, you saw that she had woken up.

"Good morning princess." You said as you sat on the bed.

"Morning mummy." She mumbled as she rubbed her eyes.
