"Hello sweetheart."

You felt faint hearing the voice. The simple statement was sickening to hear. Surely it couldn't be. You wanted Scar to turn around, to face you, but you also wanted to just open your eyes and see that this had all been a strange dream. This was the moment you had been waiting for but you couldn't bring yourself to live it. Your eyes were trained on Scar as he turned around to face you.

"What's the matter? You look like you've seen a ghost." He chuckled darkly as he turned to face you. You were frozen in a state of shock, horror. Denial.

"W-who are you?" You stuttered, forcing yourself to speak.

"Has it really been so long that you can't even recognise my voice y/n?" He said, knitting his eyebrows. You internally winced knowing that you couldn't possibly forget that voice. It was the voice that had whispered to you every-time you went to the cemetery. The voice that once provided comfort now made you feel nauseous.
"How's my granddaughter? Still breathing unfortunately." He chortled, answering his own question as tears brimmed in the corner of your eyes. After all this time, the person who had attempted to take your life, Loki's life, Sevs, was him. Your dad. You again forced yourself to choke out some words.

"Dad w-why?" You asked as your lip trembled.

"Why what? Why did I kidnap you 6 years ago? Why did I try and have your unborn child killed? Simple, it was revenge, a hate driven revenge." He stated as he took a step closer to you, tracing the large scar that began at the corner of his eyebrow and covered his face diagonally. Realisation once again hit you, remembering what you saw Loki do in the footage you were shown all those years ago.

"Revenge?" You sobbed knowing that the man that you had idolised since a child was willing to kill you for something as mundane as revenge.

"Loki almost killed me." He spat "and he would have succeeded if not of the help from some of the highest HYDRA members. They've got such innovate technology y/n." He praised as he stepped closer to your frozen form.

"I-don't understand." You reeled as you took a step back. Why did he want you dead if it was Loki he was after? Why did he fake his death? Why did he arrange for you to be kidnapped? A plethora of questions echoed around your head. "Why have you done this?" You shrieked.

"Well, I was angry and I wanted loki dead. I used you to get to the winter soldier, I wanted him to be the one to kill Loki as well as a few other things you know, taking out some of the people who betrayed me but never mind that. I thought you would have despised Loki after finding out he killed me but I soon found out that you were pregnant with none other than the enemies child. The frost giant. Disgusting. I thought what better revenge than to kill his frost giant abomination." He explained with a chilling grin as you held your chest and looked down.

"Abomination." You growled through gritted teeth as you looked back up at him.

"Yes, the halfbreed." He nodded as if he wasn't talking about your child.

"H-how could you?" You breathed as your heart rate increased "why? Why me?"

"Collateral y/n. What have I taught you if not the fact that sometimes sacrifices are necessary." He tutted as he stood in front of you.

"I'm your daughter. You left me all those years ago and then planned my families demise. I can't believe you." You cried, trying to swallow down the bile that was rising up your throat.

"No, you're a disgusting wanton whore. How dare you shack up with the inbecil that killed me." He shouted in your face as you wept. You fought to stay strong. You were still on a mission. But you couldn't help the tears that escaped. You're on a mission y/n, you're on a mission. You kept repeating to yourself as you sniffled.

"S-so you're working with HYDRA." You presumed.

"Not for, with y/n with." He agreed.

"The whole time? You double crossed SHILED, Fury, me?" You murmured as you looked back at the ground in disbelief.

"Mostly, that's why it was imperative that you work your way to the top of the chain so you'd eventually work with HYDRA too, integrating them with SHIELD. My death was supposed to get you the sympathy vote but instead you joined those wretched avengers." He said belligerently.

"This is madness." You wailed.

"Madness to want better? Madness to want to protect the earth from the likes of monsters like Loki? Madness to want to harvest enough power to rule the world? You always did lack vision." He scoffed.

There were still so many questions you had. How had he managed to get the dark objects? How did he know of Loki's heritage? How had he still been keeping tabs on you from a distance? Were SHIELD more corrupt than you thought? You wanted to collapse, to faint, to throw up, to scream, shout, lash out. The anger, the hurt, the betrayal, the years of grief that followed you all built up and spilled over the edge as you barrelled over and threw up. As you stood straight again, he handed you a handkerchief and you used it to wipe your mouth.

"Why are you here?" You questioned as you glared at him, all feelings of uncertainty and sadness turning into anger.

"Because I'm done y/n." He said putting his hands up.

"Done?" You questioned before he unsheathed a blade, stabbing you in the thigh before you had time to step backwards.

"AHHH." You yelled, lunging forward as he tried to escape and kicking behind his leg causing him to fall to the ground on his knees. Pulling out a dagger, you held it to his throat.

"Do it" he urged.

Your hand trembled as you tried to work out your next move. You tried to ignore the pain in your thigh as blood trailed down your leg. It brought you back to the night of the party. Loki dying. Thinking that you had miscarried. A wave of disgust and sinful violence flooded through you as he put his hand over your one that held the blade.

"It's kill or be kil—" he began before being silenced by the gushing of blood from his throat as you impaled him. When his grip on your hand fell as he held his throat, you snapped out of your haze and realised what had happened. Trembling, you fell to the ground next to him.

"Dad, dad" you called desperately as you tried to apply pressure to the wound to stop the never ending bleeding.

"People who do great things often leave behind a-a legacy, I hope you kill that anathema of a daughter and carry on my wor—" he wheezed before you stood up and kicked him in the face.

"This time, stay dead." You avowed before staggering off, holding your thigh. Grabbing your phone, you called the only person you wanted in this moment. Within moments, you began falling to the ground before welcoming arms broke your fall, catching you.
