Wolf holds Jamie's arm and leads her into her mother's living room, her face turned away from him still as she refuses to look in his direction, in fear of breaking down in his hold once again but seeking the unexpected comfort that his hand on her sends next to keeping her somewhat steady on her shaky knees.

"Momma." Jamie hugs Yasmine tightly once they arrive at her home and Yasmine squeezes her back just as enthusiastically.

"Sugar I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I wanted to tell you but I didn't know how." Yasmine says, tears gathering in her eyes before they begin to fall as she thinks of the worst of what her daughter may feel.

What if Jamie hates her for not telling her about her biological parents? She had every right to know where she came from when she turned eighteen nearly ten years ago but all Yasmine could do was find every way to try and hide the truth of who the Prescotts were.

Hitter silently waves and Yasmine mouths him the words thank you before he slips out, knowing just how intimate this moment was for the two women.

"It's okay, I love you." Jamie says, her tears starting again as she sobs into her mother's shoulder. "And besides, if you'd have told me, I would have been all weird and in denial that I didn't care about meeting her." The two females laugh, and then Yasmine grips her daughter's cheeks.

"It's okay to be sad. I don't mind."

"I'm not sad. I'm just...confused. I honestly don't think I do care, momma." Jamie admits and Yasmine smiles and wipes her tears away. "She said she didn't wanna give me away, though. I know it isn't uncommon for the circumstances of giving away your child to not be the worst but I guess I just never thought... What would she have meant?"

"I don't know. I never knew them past you." Yasmine says, pulling Jamie into her living room where she holds her daughter, rocking her like she used to do when she was a little girl.

"She left me something in her will. What am I supposed to do with that?"

"Anything you want. You have the right to want to find out more." Yasmine admits painfully, kissing Jamie's forehead and the younger female catches on then sits up to meet her mother's gaze.

"You're my only momma bear. She may have birthed me, but you gave me life." Jamie cries and Yasmine cradles her cheek and kisses her nose.

"Thank you sugar. I love you."

"I love you more." Jamie wraps her arms around her mom agains and grips onto her tightly, inhaling the safe scent of her expensive custom made perfume.

.....

"What happened?" Crow asks her brother when he's on his third glass of whisky and still hasn't said anything, unable to get the Davenport daughter's crying face out of his head. Once he got past the stage of shock, he hugged her a little too tightly and it took everything to let her go so she could go to her mom who she actually needed right now.

"With who, me? No..." Wolf says, reaching for the bottle again and tipping his glass, but then his eyes fall on the locked box in the corner he had picked up in Scotland when Jamie left it.

Her vintage bottle of whisky and he sighs then downs the rest of his drink. "James knows pretty much everything now."

"She does? You told her?" Crow asks and he shakes his head. "Did Yasmine?" He shakes his head again then sits down to tell her everything, sipping his alcohol as he does so and by the end, his words are slightly slurred. "Oh my gosh."

"Thas what she kept sshaying." He tells Crow, rubbing at his eyes.

"Is she okay?"

"'member when Yassmine said her sugar wass fragile? Well she is." Hitter continues, standing then going to look out at Crow's balcony, which overlooks a beautiful view of a small forest of trees and he inhales a breath of fresh air then his eyes blur over and her face comes into view like a mirage. "She looked sooo...sad."
