I was packing my bags to prepare for my trip to Germany the moment I arrived home from school. There was no need for me to pack anything because I was sure that my mother would just buy me whatever I needed. That was why there was no need to pack that much clothes.
The things I made sure to pack were my research notes and other grimoires I have to further study. I could consult with my father about my research and he would give me hints. While it would be convenient if he would just tell me the answer instead of beating around the bush, it was great that he wanted to make sure that I would grow on my own.
The doorbell rang and I walked downstairs to see who was my guest. When I opened the door, I saw a purple-haired girl.
"You really are going to Germany, huh?" Tokoyami-san asked.
"Yeah. I have business over there. Do you need something?"
"Buy me souvenirs! I want to taste German chocolate!"
"Sure."
"Eh?"
Tokoyami-san looked confused.
"A-Are you sure? Am I not bothering you?" she asked.
"I already planned to bring you souvenirs so it's actually convenient to know what you wanted", I answered.
My vision became blurry as a wave of drowsiness hit me. This was odd... Was I this tired even if the day was just normal? The drowsiness was getting stronger but I couldn't sense any mana or magic that could be the cause of this.
Tokoyami-san collapsed and snored on the floor. She was affected too? This was bad... Was this an enemy's attack?
Before I could do any moves, I collapsed to the floor and closed my heavy eyelids.

I opened my eyes and the night sky greeted me. The first thing I did was check my body. After confirming that there was nothing wrong with me, I looked around and found myself in a strange forest.
Someone groaned beside me and I saw Tokoyami-san waking up.
"Takeda-kun?" she asked while rubbing her eyes.
She then realized that we were no longer in my home.
"W-Where are we?" she asked.
"I don't know. Someone managed to teleport us out of my home without me detecting magic", I answered.
"Is that possible?"
"The possibilities with magic are vast. I won't be surprised if someone from the other side of the world managed to teleport us to a location they wanted us to be in without me detecting them."
"Magicians are scary."
"You're saying that when you're a devil?"
Tokoyami-san saw something behind me and her eyes widened.
"Takeda-kun! Incoming!" she shouted.
I turned around and gathered my mana.
"Protect!
My fortress!" I chanted and a barrier appeared just in time to protect me from a kick.
My enemy was a boy with black-white hair. He looked like a high school student and he wore goggles that covered his eyes.
The interesting part about him was the black flames surrounding his hands. There were several magic that produced flames of different colors but this was the first time I encountered someone like him.
