I stretched my legs as I walked around Frankfurt Airport. It was a long flight and I spent it trying to come up with new chants for my original magic. From my battle with Ninomae-san, I found out that the desired image wouldn't appear in my current chants.
My chants were working well except for the last six lines. I had to make sure that my chants were going to create the exact image I needed. But for now, I have to deal with the person waving in front of me.
"Hey! Felix!" a man with long black hair shouted at me.
His name was Takeda Shinji, an S-ranked magician and one of the Ten Aspects of Truth. He was considered a prodigy and was the youngest Aspect of Truth. Also, he was my father.
"Where's mother?" I asked after walking towards him.
"She's out on a mission. She'll be back by tonight."
"I see. I'll be staying for a while so I might be bothering you."
"No worries. I'm your father. I got used to being bothered by you."
We walked outside the airport and into his car. Father drove the car and we talked about random things as we traveled across Germany's roads.
"Wait... You hired a demon with a vague request?!" Father asked.
"It was a mistake... I mean. I accidentally shook hands with her and agreed to have her help", I answered.
"Shook hands? She didn't manifest a contract?"
"No? She just shook my hand and that's it."
Father's eyes often had a mischievous spark in them. However, there were times his eyes would become very serious and that would happen whenever he was very deep in thought.
"She arrived on her bicycle instead of the magic circle?" he asked.
"Yes. She said she couldn't come at that time because she was occupied with something. That's why she came by bike."
"I see... Her name is Tokoyami Towa, right?"
"Yes. Is something wrong?"
"No... She's an interesting creature."
I wanted to ask what he meant about that but I had a feeling he would dodge my questions again. It was sort of annoying how he would beat around the bush while I tried very hard to understand the situation. But he was just training me. A magician should seek for the truth using his own effort. Father was just grooming me as a magician.
We soon arrived at our house. It was a large villa and had a wide lawn on the front and a huge garden on the back while it was surrounded by walls. My mother was a pretty rich and influential person in Germany. That was why we had a huge plot of land in our name.
I arrived in my room and put down my bags. It was a tiring journey but I still had one more business to take care of. I had to go to our headquarters and talk to the Grandmaster.
"Father. I'm going to the headquarters", I told him.
"Gotcha. Just be back before dinner, okay? Your mother would want to talk to you too. She misses you so much."
"Yeah yeah."
I went to the basement of our house and entered a room with a huge magic circle. The magic circle was for a teleportation magic that would make anything inside it to be sent to our headquarters. As long as I knew the password, I could teleport from the headquarters to this home.
"Let the distance be ignored.
Let the rules of nature be bent.
I am a magician who transcends the physical laws.
