19) Jungkook - The Decision

Dinner came and went by with a blur to Jungkook. There wasn't much conversation between all three of them. After dinner Jungkook decided to text Yoongi and Taehyung asking if they wanted to get on a call so that he could tell them all that was going on with his mother. Both boys agreed and soon all three of them had made it through the painful story and were trying to lift the mood by making Jungkook laugh after constantly repeating that he and his father were always welcome at their places if they ever needed a place to stay or to simply get away from life for a brief moment. Jungkook was glad that he had Yoongi and Taehyung, they always knew the right things to say and give the right type of support that he so desperately needed in his depressing life.

After finishing the call with his best friends, Jungkook went back downstairs to the living room where Alan and Maria were sitting next to each other on the couch watching a movie while talking about work.

"Ummm so I thought about what I want to do about this whole situation dad..." Jungkook started to make sure that his presence was known. Alan didn't say anything, only nodding to let his son know to continue.

"I want to go through with the restraining order. I don't want anything to do with that woman ever again, she caused us both so much pain that we didn't deserve. Is it really that bad that I'm bi? Yoongi and Taehyung assured me that I'm making the right choice here, she shouldn't have ever treated me like that. We both deserve better, dad. I suggest you do the same thing and put yourself out there to try and find someone worthy of your love. What that woman showed us was nothing but a facade, she was driven by your love of work, meaning your larger paychecks and the ability to use me as a punching bag." Jungkook stated with confidence for the first time in his life. He knew that he was finally surrounded by the right people who did nothing but love and support him. He hoped that things would only get better from there.

The rest of the weekend went by with Alan teasing Jungkook by telling Maria all of Jungkook's embarrassing stories and all three of them getting a kick out of the time in middle school was in his Family and Consumer Science class where they made their own clothes and he ended up with sewing a peacock feather onto a red vest and paired it with a Hawaiian shirt and blue hat.

It was now Monday meaning that Jungkook and Alan would now begin the process for filing a restraining order. The process was simple but took a lot of time, meaning they spent most of the day working on it. The three of them would have to appear in court since they were once family so Alan hired his friend, Jake who happened to be a family lawyer, and gave him all the evidence that he needed. The trial would be in the following week, but Alan and Jungkook were not worried at all, they had all the evidence that they needed to officially get this restraining order and Jake even said that the video could be used to give at least a fine to Maria but most likely probation and/or jail time depending on how serious the act is ruled by the court.
