"HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY YOU OLD GEEZER!!" Jackson yelled, kicking the door of Namjoon's bedroom open and scaring him out of his half-awake state.
"YAH! I told you not to do that!" Namjoon yelled and threw a pillow at Jackson. Said brunet quickly dodging the pillow, making sure the cake in his hands wasn't ruined.
"Hey now! Watch it! There's a precious cake in my hands!" Jackson cried as he dodged another pillow coming in his direction.
Namjoon rolled his eyes and reached for another pillow, huffing when his hand was met with his mattress. Glaring at his best friend, Namjoon pulled his blanket back over his head and flopped back over, trying to go back to sleep.
"Oh come on!" Jackson whined, setting the cake on Namjoon's crowded desk before jumping onto his best friend. Namjoon groaned at the impact. "You only turn 261 once! Now get off your ass and celebrate with meeeeeeeeee."
"Get the fuck off meeeeeeeeee," Namjoon whined in response.
"Are you gonna get out of beeeeeeeedd?"
"You have to get off me fiiiiiiiiiiirrrrsssst."
Jackson gasped and grinned, quickly getting off Namjoon and bouncing on the balls of his feet as he watched his best friend sit up and glare at him softly before standing from his bed and collecting his pillows. Jackson got smacked with one in the process, but he didn't mind.
"Alright, I'm up. Now what?" Namjoon crossed his arms, a little peeved that his sleep was rudely taken away from him. He hasn't even had his tea yet for crying out loud!
Jackson grinned like a child and quickly grabbed the small cake off the desk after lighting the 3 candles on top. Turning around, he started singing happy birthday, and Namjoon cracked a small smile at his best friend's efforts to be the first one to wish him a happy birthday like he was every year.
Blowing out the 2,6, and 1 candle, Jackson cheered like a child and quickly left the room, pulling Namjoon behind him by the wrist to the kitchen.
Namjoon's jaw dropped a little bit when he saw his parents standing in the kitchen, grinning at their son. Hera was the first to approach him and engulf her son in a hug, pulling his face down a little bit to plant a kiss on his cheek.
"Happy birthday Little bear." She grinned at him. Yang joined her to give his son a little hug as well.
"Happy birthday kiddo," Yang added.
"Thanks, guys." Namjoon smiled at his parents. His grin grew a little more as Jackson held out Namjoon's favorite mug filled with his morning tea.
"Ugh, you guys are awesome." Namjoon hummed after taking a sip.
"I know I am," Jackson smirked and struck a little pose, Hera and Yang laughing at him.
"You're an idiot, I swear." Namjoon chuckled and sipped some more of his tea. Jackson had busied himself with cutting the cake that they were going to eat for breakfast. I mean, come on who doesn't do that on their birthday?

Later that afternoon, Namjoon found himself in the library. He needed some peace and quiet away from his chaotic best friend.
Namjoon was sitting at his regular table. A big, blue, oversized, and comfy sweatshirt and a pair of jeans paired with some Converse and his square-rimmed glasses were what he wore today. On the table in front of him sat a novel instead of a textbook. Just what he needed to relax after the hectic birthday schedule Jackson had planned earlier.
Jackson had insisted that Namjoon take some of his birthday cake with him to snack on so that was sitting on the table next to him. He cut off some pieces here and there as he read, eyes never leaving the page unless necessary.
Namjoon was so immersed in his book that he didn't even see or notice Jeon walking over to his table and taking a seat in front of him.
Looking up to see how much cake he had left, Namjoon was surprised to see Jeon sitting there. With a little yelp and a jump, Namjoon finally noticed the boy and the raven head giggled at the reaction.
"Holy shit I didn't see you sit down," Namjoin breathlessly chuckles, getting over the scare he just had.
"I noticed," Jeon chuckled. "You were in the zone and seemed so focused. I didn't want to bother you."
"Yeah, I kinda get lost in my own world when I read." Namjoon huffed a little laugh, placing his tasseled bookmark between the pages to mark where he left off.
"What book?" Jeon tilted his head to the side a little bit, Namjoon's heart exploding at the cute action.
"Ah, White Fire by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Bit of a murder mystery." Namjoon grinned, his hands coming together on the book cover, fingers picking at his left palm a little bit as he felt a small wave of nerves wash over him.
"Ooh, that sounds good. I'll have to read it sometime." Jeon grinned.
"I do recommend it." Namjoon nodded. Looking down at the table a bit, he noticed the box sitting in front of the raven head.
"Whatcha got in the box?" His curiosity got the best of Namjoon as he gestured to the box with his chin.
"Oh!" A light blush crept up the boy's face as he looked down. "It's, uh, it's for you. I saw it was your birthday today when I was going through the books you returned, and it came up in the system." The blush darkened, and Namjoon felt his heart swell at the words.
"Oh. Well, Thank you." Namjoon gave a dimpled smile to the boy, and he gladly returned it with his bunny-like one.
"No problem! I hope you like it!" Jeon slid the box towards the now blonde (Jackson's idea) male in front of him.
With a smile, Namjoon carefully opened the box and found the coolest-looking bookends he had ever seen. Pulling one out to get a better look, Namjoon admired the beautiful dark wood that made up the base and the side, the two pieces making an L shape that held a piece of what looked to be two pieces of acrylic housing a beautifully pressed purple magnolia surrounded by little green leaves and small white flowers.
"Wow," Namjoon whispered, pulling the other piece out and gently laying it on the table next to the first one he pulled out. The pressed flowers are an exact mirror image of each other. "These are beautiful! Thank you so much!" Namjoon grinned up at the boy.
"No problem! I saw them, and I immediately thought about you, and I was like 'I have to get these!' so I did," Jungkook laughed softly and grinned, a light blush still decorating his cheeks.
"I love them," Namjoon hummed, admiring the boy in front of him.
"Good. I'm glad." A comfy silence encompassed the both of them as Namjoon carefully placed the bookends back into the box they came in. "I expect to see a picture of them on some kind of bookshelf of yours." Jeon chuckled, breaking the silence.
"Aye aye, Captain." Namjoon chuckled with a small salute.
Jeon laughed in response, the sound blessing Namjoon's ears and causing him to laugh along.
The two then launched into a conversation about all the books they'd read as they munched on the rest of the cake. Namjoon silently thanked himself for doubting that his best friend packed him a fork resulting in him grabbing another one before he left.
Namjoon would remember this moment every time he looked at the bookends.
