"Why are you glaring at me, my dear best friend?" Jackson asked from where he sat across from Namjoon in the Cafe they were sitting in, getting breakfast on a crisp and clear Saturday morning.
"I'm hoping you'll spontaneously combust," Namjoon grumbled, sipping his tea.
"What!? Why!?" Jackson cried, looking incredulously at the purple-haired in front of him.
"You know why." Namjoon blushed deeply, remembering what his knucklehead of a best friend did to him in the library yesterday.
"Oh, that," Jackson giggled, making Namjoon scowl and blush deeper.
Well, what happened was Namjoon and Jackson were in the library. Namjoon was studying and trying to get some homework finished. Jackson on the other hand was not so subtly stalking the cute boy that Namjoon kept glancing at. He followed the raven head around as he went about what he normally did in the library. Namjoon was trying so hard to hide further and further into his books every time he saw Jackson walk past the desk the boy sat at. The icing on the fucking cake for Namjoon was when Jackson had come back after a whole hour and said, not so quietly might I add, 'You're right Joonie! Front Desk boy is really cute!'.
That statement caused said boy to look in his direction and Namjoon blushed a deep pink as he scowled at his best friend and tried to refrain from assaulting the man that he called his best friend. Glancing over the book that was propped in front of him, Namjoon did see the boy smiling softly and blushing deeply as he went about what he was working on.
Namjoon almost died of embarrassment that day. And he almost committed murder too.
"You're lucky I love your stupid ass," Namjoon grumbled and sipped more of his tea.
"Yeah yeah, I know." Jackson chuckled. Namjoon just rolled his eyes with a shake of his head.
"Oh Joon! Look, there he is!!" Jackson almost screamed, hitting Namjoon on the arm causing him to choke on and spill his tea.
"Wha- Jackson- stop-" Namjoon coughed out as he tried to swat at his best friend.
"No seriously! Look!" Jackson frantically gestured behind Namjoon.
Namjoon finally turned, choking on air as he saw the boy from the front desk at the library standing at the counter, his doe eyes shining and his bunny smile glimmering in the light of the cafe as he ordered, striking conversation with the cashier, who Namjoon assumed was his friend.
The purple-haired male turned back to his friend just as quickly as he turned around, hiding under his black baseball cap and praying to whatever powers were out there that he wouldn't embarrass himself- Correction. Praying that Jackson wouldn't embarrass him further.
Namjoon could feel his ears and cheeks burn as he listened to Jackson try to get the boy's attention. Namjoon cursed him out and tried to get him to stop through gritted teeth, pulling his cap lower and trying to hide even more.
"He-!" Jackson tried to call out to the boy, but Namjoon quickly shoved the donut lying on the table into his best friend's mouth.
"Shut. Up." Namjoon growled, his eyes glinting a little dangerously. Jackson was almost afraid of him for a second. Almost.
Quickly chewing the bite in his mouth, Jackson stood from the table, dodging Namjoon's hand that tried to grab him as he walked by.
"I'm just going to the bathroom, relax," The brunet tried to lie.
"No you're not, get back here. We're leaving before you do anything stupid," Namjoon grumbled, grabbing his tea and Jackson's sleeve, pulling the shorter male behind him and out the door of the cafe.
