25) Jungkook - Here goes nothing

The weekend finally came and it was time for Maria to finally reveal her 'secret' to Jungkook, she was nervous but also knew that it had to be done, she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she had to hide it from them forever.

"Kookie dear! Dinner's ready, I just need some help setting the table so we can eat" Maria called for Jungkook who was up in his room.

"Okay! I'll be down in a minute!" Jungkook called back while setting down a book he had recently borrowed from Yoongi.

After washing his hands in the upstairs bathroom, Jungkook went downstairs to help Maria set the table. "What are we having? It smells good" Jungkook said as he went to get the dishes.

"Fried rice tonight, we have so many leftovers that need to be used up. Now hurry up and set the table so we can eat. I don't know about you but I'm starving.'' Maria said as she turned down the heat on the stove so she could start tidying up the kitchen while Jungkook was setting the table.

After serving themselves the food and eating Maria and Jungkook began to make some small talk about how their week had gone so far and about any upcoming plans. Maria thought that now would be a good time to tell Jungkook.

"So um... there is something that I need to tell you, I will tell your father when he gets back but I felt like I should tell you first." Maria started, looking over at Jungkook who began to pale a bit, fearing the worst, but still nodded signaling for her to continue. "Well you know how I love having you both around and I am planning on properly dating your father but I need to let you know that I am a Vampire... I know that humans and vampires get along now but it would make me very uncomfortable if I went longer without telling you."

"Maria, it's okay, I already had my suspicions. Are you forgetting? My, like, only friends Yoongi and Taehyung are vampires alongside their boyfriends. I have no issue with it." Jungkook replied to Maria. "As for how my dad will react? I think he will be perfectly fine with it. His parents are actually vampires, but he turned down their offer to turn him into one. He said that he doesn't want to live forever, he wants to experience growing old, but I think the truth was that he wanted to meet someone who wanted him genuinely and not because he could make them immortal, that's what his ex-wife did. Before she let out her anger on me for being bi, she would always be after him to turn her into a vampire, like his parents." Jungkook continued.

Maria let out a huge breath that she didn't realize she was holding in.

"You don't understand how happy I am to hear that. I know that I want to continue with what your father and I have and take it further, but just know that I won't pressure you or him into anything about this lifestyle. I believe it should be something that you both want naturally, and to stay with me for the rest of eternity. I know that it's a lot to take in, but If you will let me, Jungkook, I want to be the motherly figure in your life that you never had, I already view you as my own son. So will you allow me to step into that role and date your father officially if he accepts that I'm a vampire?" Maria asked, just to make sure that Jungkook was sure about all this and had no sense of doubt or hesitation.

"Of course, you can Maria, you have shown me more love and stepped into being more of a mother figure these past few months than I have experienced in my entire life. I love having you in my life and I can't think of anyone better for my dad." Jungkook replied confidently with a bright smile. "Just make sure, to be honest, and communicate with him. Oh, and he will probably need a lot of reassurance at the start too because... you know, that all happened."

"That makes me so relieved to hear that. I will do my very best to not let you down! Now let's finish eating and clean up. I was thinking of making popcorn and watching a movie later." Maria replied to Jungkook.

"Okay! Sounds good! Now can we finish eating, I'm kinda hungry again?" Jungkook laughed before digging back into his plate of food.

so sorry for the huge gap in updates. being a college student majorly sucks lol, I've just been so busy trying to make sure everything is all happy and whatnot before this next semester, and life has just gotten in my way.
