27) Jungkook - Do you accept me?

"I'm home!" Alan called through the household, after getting back from his business trip and visiting his parents' place.

"Hi sweetie, how was the trip? How are your parents doing? Did you tell them everything that happened?'' Maria replied walking from the kitchen to hug Alan in the living room.

"They are doing fine dear. As for the whole situation, they were upset at first but after I explained all the pain that woman put Jungkook through, they are glad that she got jail time. Besides, they are happy for me because I found someone new and this person found me at my lowest point and has stayed with me since then" Alan said sheepishly while rubbing the back of his head. "Anyway, what are we having for dinner? It smells amazing."

"Well, I've had this smoker in the basement since my ex-husband left so I thought I'd put it to use and smoke some chicken for dinner. Go take a shower and get changed into more comfortable clothes, so I can finish making dinner. Jungkook is staying with Yoongi again so I sent him a whole chicken to give to the boy since I know he doesn't cook much." Maria said then grabbed Alan's bags to bring to their, now, shared bedroom.

"Okay, okay, I get it I probably stink" Alan laughed following Maria to their room.

"Whenever you're ready the food is done!" Maria called from downstairs after Alan finished his shower.

"I'll be down in a minute, just let me get dressed" Alan yelled back.

After a dinner full of laughter and Alan catching Maria up on his past couple of days out of town. Maria thought that it would probably be best to wait a little longer and tell Alan after they finished cleaning up from dinner, that way she didn't have to worry about killing the bright mood they had right then.

So that's what happened. After dinner, Maria announced, "I'm going to go change and start getting ready for bed but if you want to watch a movie I'd be down for that."

"Okay dear, go change and I'll make some popcorn and start looking for a show," Alan said a bit more enthusiastically than he meant, he was just happy to have an excuse to cuddle.

Maria shortly came down after Alan had finished making the popcorn and even got some blankets out for them to snuggle up with.

"Hey so umm, I need to talk to you about something really important, and before you say anything or jump to conclusions just hear me out, and please don't be upset that I already told Jungkook about this." Maria started saying, searching Alan's face for any trace of fear, which of course there was some concern but not necessarily fear, he trusted her.

"Alright, I'm listening and I will hear you out until you tell me you are finished, okay?" Alan said while taking Maria's hand as a signal to assure her, but really it was to help him calm his own nerves about what was to come.

"Well umm in case you couldn't already tell... I'm a vampire, and as you know we've grown really close to each other these past few months. We do things that normal couples do but we don't really have an official title. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I want to know if we are exclusive or not. I really like you and would love to step into that motherly role full-time for Jungkook, but I understand that that might be moving things too fast, especially if you don't want to become a part of this life and it's just all confusing to me, and yeah. Okay, I'm done now, you can talk,'' Maria rambled, occasionally tightening her grip on Alan's hand out of frustration from confusion.

"Umm wow. That was a lot all at once. But Maria, I'm completely okay with you being a vampire. You said you talked to Jungkook, and I don't know if he told you already or not, but both of my parents are vampires so I am completely fine with it. I rejected their offer to turn me into one because I wanted to grow up a little more. I felt that I was too young to be turned into one at that time. My ex-wife was always bugging me to take up their offer since she wanted to be one, but I always just refused it just didn't feel right. If you are willing to take things a bit slower and allow this relationship to happen at its own pace and let things just fall into place maybe I will take up your offer, but I'd like to not rush things and let the universe let things happen as they are meant to. As for us, Maria, you have drastically changed my life and I couldn't be any more thankful. So, I will ask this officially this time, are you willing to be my girlfriend despite us already doing all the couple-like things? I know that Jungkook will be more than thrilled for you to fully begin to take on that motherly role that he has been missing in his life." Alan said whole-heartedly truly meaning everything he said as he looked Maria directly in the eyes.

"Of course, I would love to take that honor of being yours Alan, just let me know when you are comfortable continuing this to the next step, Alright? Now let's get back to what we were originally doing." Maria said with a large smile plastered on her face cuddling into Alan's broad chest.

"Okay, dear, whatever makes you happy," Alan replied, pulling Maria into his chest closer, kissing the crown of her head, before finally starting the movie that he had picked out.
