Jackson had been acting weird the past couple of weeks and Namjoon noticed. Jackson would leave earlier than normal and sometimes not return until really late, he would go straight to his room and shut the door which he never normally did, and there was just this angry and empty look in his eyes all the time. Namjoon was concerned. Jackson never acted like this, after knowing him for quite literally hundreds of years, Namjoon knew this for a fact.Namjoon didn't even see Mark, or Jin for that matter, come around to the dorm room that much anymore. He was so confused and concerned about what was going on. He had so many questions and little to no answers. It was a tad scary to Namjoon, he needed those answers. Without his thoughts in order, Namjoon was kinda lost and stuck in a state of worry."Ow, fuck." Namjoon hissed, feeling his palm sting. Looking down, Namjoon groaned a little at the fact that he opened up the small scar resting there, again.Sighing, he stood from the couch and went into the bathroom to dress up the small wound. He had been picking at his palm a lot as of late, because of how Jackson had been acting. It was how Namjoon dealt with his nerves and stressful emotions. As he finished wrapping his palm, he heard the sound of keys and the door opening. Stepping out of the bathroom, Namjoon was kinda relieved to see his best friend walk in the door. But his relief turned to worry when he saw the bruising on his knuckles."Oh my god, what happened!?" Namjoon gasped and he rushed toward Jackson, gently taking his bruised hands into his."I'm ok. Don't worry." Jackson muttered, pulling his hands from Namjoons and walking past him."What do you mean don't worry!? No one comes back from running errands with bruises covering their hands!!" Namjoon exclaimed, following his best friend down the hall toward their bedrooms."Will you fucking relax!?" Jackson whirled around to be face-to-face with Namjoon. "I'm ok. I'm fine, I just had to stop this guy from trying to steal my wallet. That's all!" Jackson explained, making eye contact with the toe of Namjoon's slippers."You're lying to me," Namjoon growled softly."What!?" Jackson's head snapped up. "No, I'm not!""Yes, you are!" Namjoon didn't realize that his hands came together again. "You stare at the toe of someone's shoes when you lie! You've done it since we were kids!" Namjoon pointed out, fingers scratching at the bandage around his palm."Don't do that, you're gonna hurt yourself more," Jackson muttered, gently pulling Namjoon's hands apart."That's not the point here!" Namjoon almost yelled, ripping his hands away from Jackson's hold."What is the point then!?" Jackson replied in the same volume."The point here is that I'm worried about you! You never act like this! I am so concerned, and, and confused! I don't know what's going on with you Jackson! I just wanna be sure that you're ok!!" Tears came to Namjoon's eyes at the end of his rant, his hands coming back together once more. "I-I-I just want to know that you're ok," Namjoon whispered, a lone tear running down his face.Jackson sighed and ran his hand down his face. It hurt him a little bit to see his best friend like this. At this moment, Jackson saw the weight of everything that Namjoon has gone through for the past 261 years and how it was crushing him. Jackson was disappointed with himself for adding to that weight."Joonie," Jackson muttered and wrapped his friend in a hug. "I'm ok. I promise. I've just been busy with school stuff lately and all that jazz. I promise I'm ok." Jackson gently murmured into Namjoon's ear."Promise?" Namjoon sniffed and tightened his hold around Jackson."Promise." Jackson hummed, holding onto his best friend tightly. After a few minutes of standing there in a hug, the two finally pulled away and then curled up on the couch to watch some movies for the rest of the night.
