Dylan Xander's POV

The rotten scent of sewer trash and pollution washed through our senses, making us heave in discomfort.

"Are you sure we're in the right place?" Kara fumbled through the alleyway in her heel, only for us to hear a sudden splash and a following groan.

I turned back to see Kara cringing at the muggy puddle she found herself stumbling into. "I felt something slither against my foot"

Reeling in disgust, Barry and I were quick to distance ourselves from any puddles. "Come on Guys, you want to follow the damn script so much. Then, look for the stupid door with a lantern above it" Spinning on my heel, I pushed onward with forced conviction.

Barry sighed after muttering to Kara about her shoe before following me closely. "Tell me again how your character would know about this place?"

Blowing a raspberry, I shrugged. "When I arrived here... Let's just say I had my Ex-Boyfriend's tongue down my throat. We were sneaking around so I'm assuming my so called Character's father doesn't approve of our...relationship"

"You got all that from a single encounter?" Kara posed the question With bewilderment. "How was it with him?" Barry attempted to make conversation.

Striding forward, I wearily glanced around. "It was...odd. Sure, I was shocked but I'll admit it. It felt good to have a moment with the two of us"

Silence befell us as we travelled deeper into the alleyway, the air was filled with curiosity but I wasn't in the mood to talk anymore about my love life or lack there of.

"Let's just get outta this musical before begin screaming at the sky" I changed the topic and picked up the speed.

The alleyway was covered in this dense smog, clearly originating from the broken sewer systems that resided beneath us.

The walls were cracked and worn, held together by shifting craftsmanship.

As we neared the end of the broken space, we were all suddenly enveloped with a blast of steam.

Screeching at the sudden hissing, we bunched up. "Who's there?" Barry spoke with a warning tone as I peered down the end of the alleyway.

Through the smog, my eyes caught a glimpse of yellow illuminating just enough to pull my attention forward. The first thing I could think about was Plot Hooks, is this what it feels like to be a Protagonist in a Story? Huh, if only I had sudden revelations that solved most of my problems.

Perhaps my life wouldn't be in shambles...

The pipes in the alleyway burst in a rhythmic fashion, almost creating a beat that esculated. "Ah, I think that means we should run!" I exclaimed, bolting towards the dull light at the end of the alleyway. "Talk about forcing a story" Kara poked through the fourth wall of this reality as we made our way to the goal.

Haphazardly, I skidded to a halt, disturbing a puddle of water. My fist banged against the metallic doorway, "Open up!" I called out, slightly panicked from the approaching smog. "Password" I heard through the door. Calming myself down, I took a breath, "Um...Anarchy?"

Silence befell the previously chaotic space, filling us all with a sense of relief. "That was..."

"Terrifying?"

"Yeah, who would have throught Gas would be scary" Kara chuckled with relief. "Actually, I've fought a Meta who can become Poisionous Gas" Barry opened up comedically. "Ryan can generate his powers in a gas form that melts the bonds of Molecules" I added lightheartedly.
