Dylan Xander's POV

The journey through the breach was swift, merely taking seconds for a Speedster like myself.

My eyes trained forward, focusing on my destination.

The images of all the Earths passed me by, I kept my mind at ease.

It wasn't long till the hallway expanded around us, allowing me to feel the chilling air of December as the snow had continued to fall.

As soon as my foot made contact with solid ground, the shroud of lightning that coat us faded into tiny sparks of golden yellow.

Katsuki's breath was the first thing I heard other than the noises of the city, his eyes darted around as he quickly took steps towards the railing of the Class 1-A Dormitory Building.

"Holy Shit..." I found amusement in his baffled state, to a point where I gave him a second to come to his own conclusions before approaching.

Noticing the chill in the air, my hand were buried deep in my jacket pockets as I slowly neared the frozen railing.

With a calm gaze and a laxed grin, I finally opened my mouth to speak. "It's a lot... Believe me, you're being way more calm than when I first experienced it" My voice pulled in Katsuki's attention.

His slightly broader frame faced mine, "What time is it?"

"Ah, the same time it was when we left. Maybe a minute or two later" I casually informed, shrugging due to my lack of exact knowledge of time.

His ruby eyes were filled with wonder, like I have him a new perspective to see the world through.

"Look" I reached out, my hands gently rubbing his biceps. "I'll explain everything tomorrow. After you and I can get a well deserved night's sleep. How's that?"

I wanted to ease Katsuki into this new way of life, making sure he was able to handle it.

Even though, his pride would most likely get to him and want me to throw him into the deep end.

Katsuki didn't answer right away, so I did the only thing I could. "I can...run us to my place for breakfast and we'll go at your own pace... You can ask whatever you want and we can go from there. Sound good?" No immediate response.

My hands moved up Katsuki's sides, towards his face. "Hey" My tone grew tender, letting him focus. "You'll wrap your head around this, craziness. Trust me"

Katsuki's throat bulged as he had swallowed the saliva that had been building up in his mouth. "I trust you, I'm just--"

"You need some...time" I whispered, stepping away to give him some space. If it weren't for his reach, I would've made a greater distance.

Although, he pulled me back. "Breakfast... Tomorrow. Then, we'll be taking a damn trip to Haven Labs" Katsuki's voice grew firm as his arms crossed behind my back.

"Promise to have you back before Aizawa finds out you're gone"

"Shit...That idiot Caterpillar for a teacher still thinks you're a threat" Concern dripped from his tone. My calm expression met his wary one. "He also has a Taskforce in play to arrest me"

"Even after you saved the whole fucking city?!"

A mere nod answered him. "I still have a lot to make-up for. Yes, I wasn't in complete control but...those emotions were...are real"

There was a silence, I took advantage and wrapped my arms around him for a brief embrace. "My Speed caused people to get hurt, places to be destroyed and trust being broken. Even Xio is my fault, his storm only happened because I was too scared to face everyone after what I did"

Knowing he couldn't change my perspective, Katsuki sighed. "I have a lot to prove. Not just for this city but for myself. More importantly, to you"

My forehead rested against his as I closed my eyes. I felt myself taking a moment to be where I wanted to be. "Now, it would make me feel much more comfortable if you got some sleep"

"Tch, you first" Katsuki nagged, not moving is head. I breathlessly chuckled, moving my hands to the sides of his head once more. "Deal..." Tilting my head, I grinned. "Maybe after I stop a mugging or help at least someone tonight"

Katsuki let his head shake, his exasperation was almost comedic. "Show-off"

"Wha--" I couldn't finish as he pressed his mouth against mine for the moment. "I'll see you tomorrow, Nerd"

"Yeah... I suppose I will" Releasing each other, my gaze looked into the distance with an excited grin. One I hadn't had in quite a long time. "Gotta run"

"Shut up!" Finding the pun amusing yet pathetic, Katsuki waved me off with a grin that let his usually scowl soften for a brief moment.

The Lightning coursed through my body, wrapping along my being as the world lagged behind. I captured the expression for myself before turning away.

Vanishing with a Fwhoosh and a trail of yellow lightning that was gone before most could move an inch.

I zipped through the streets of the city, people still having mixed reactions to my presence. The positive expressions or exclamations left me feeling a warmth within my chest that combatted the snowy skyline.

The negative emotions only drove me forward, I had to run... I wanted to keep moving.

Surge was my end goal but the journey was filled with much for me to do... For me to prove.

And I had a feeling that Future would be here faster than ever...
