NADIA'S POV

Saturday

I woke up that morning still super tired. I rolled over under the duvet and grabbed my phone off the side table, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. "Shit!" I muttered when I saw the time and the missed calls from Raheem then called him back. "I'm sorry, I fell asleep as soon as Amalie left, then woke up up just now. I wasn't ignoring you I swear I just didn't see the call" I said really quickly before he could say anything.

He chuckled on the other end of the phone. "I figured Nadia."

I physically relaxed hearing him laugh. It was still weird though, because I was still getting used to this side of him. The side that had very dark humour and smiled every now and then. "Oh..."

"Do you want to get something to eat?" He ask and as if on cue my stomach rumbled, I was glad he didn't hear it.

"Okay, give me twenty minutes?"

"Fifteen." I rolled my eyes, hung up then jumped out of bed. It was going to be a long day and I was not mentally prepared. I took a quick hot shower and put on the same outfit from the day before not even bothering with make-up because I figured I'd be wearing a lot later on in the day.

I heard a knock on the front door so I grabbed my bag and phone ready to leave. Early. "You're early." I said opening the door for him.

"I know." He looked at me from top to bottom like he usually did "I like this look." I closed the door behind me

"I wore this yesterday..." I felt slightly embarrassment telling him I was re-wearing an outfit. He already knew that, he was very observant, especially when it came to me.

"I know. I meant the 'no make-up' love"

"Oh." my face went warm and pink "thank you..." I looked down at my feet, caught off guard by the compliment.

"Come on." He shook his head.

Breakfast was great. I made Raheem take me to a bagel place because how could I go to New York and not have at least one bagle.

I had two.

After brunch I wanted to take a walk in central park. He didn't. But he gave in after I kept asking and giving puppy eyes. I realised that he couldn't say 'no' to me, he would always be against it at first then give in, so naturally I used that to my advantage.

We did get a few looks and stares, but thankfully not as much as we would have walking in a park back home. Walking around I drifted off into a train of thought.

Thinking about a variety of thing in my messy scattered brain.

What is he planning on doing tonight? I'm going to have to live with a man. What is his definition of not a lot of people? Does Raheem like kids? I've never seen him with a child... He can't kill Anonymous tonight, right? Too many people. Had anyone told him how hot he is? Because I can't be the only one seeing this... Does me finding him attractive even knowing what I know make me a psycho... But how can one person be so se-

"Nadia?" He practically shouted.

"Hmm, yea?"

"Did you hear what I said?"

"...Nope"

"What's on your mind making you zone out like that?"

My heart stopped for a second and I looked elsewhere as me face heated up. I couldn't tell that I was thinking he was going to kill someone and that made him even more sexier than he already was. "Um, nothing interesting" The last thing I wanted was for him to know what was going on inside my head.
