NADIA'S POV
"Ugh I really don't want to leave" Taliya groaned slumping into her seat tucking her feet under herself. Raheem and Hamzah were outside talking while Taliya, Idaya and I made ourselves comfortable.
"Same, I'm dreading having to go back to work"
"You could always stay, Parisian life definitely suits the both of ya" I added settling into the row of seats parallel to them.
"I could only dream, but one day inshallah"
"Manifestation is key" said a voice I'd recognised. My smile faltered when he emerged from behind the curtain with a drink in hand.
Idaya glanced over her headrest, perplexed at the sound of his unknown voice, and Taliya poked her head around the seat to see who had spoken following his movement, obviously not recognising the man now taking a seat right next to me. Once he was seated comfortably he flashed me a sly grin then took a sip of his drink.
"What are you doing here?" I asked flatly trying my best to keep an unimpressed look on my face and not an annoyed one. He could probably sense the energy I was giving off or something because his grin grew even wider.
"What? You aren't going to introduce me to these two pretty ladies Sunshine" he feigned a hurtful expression bringing his free had to his heart taking a glance at my two very puzzled friend's.
"Lee, Tal, Daya" I pointed to the two of them "Tal, Daya, Lee, now what are you doing here?" I faked a smile, it dropping as soon as I passed pleasantries. Taliya and Idaya just nodded probably still confused.
"Your boyfriend was so-"
I cut him off "Raheem is not my boyfriend."
"Yea sure, whatever you want to call him, he was so kind as to offer me a ride back home" Lee explained, I'm pretty sure it being far from the truth.
"I remember you begging for a ride." Raheem spoke, all our heads turned to face him as he made his way down the isle towards us, Hamzah following behind "Move before I change my mind." Lee stood up and moved to sit on the sofa seat opposite as Raheem took his place beside me.
"Everything okay?" I asked
He brought my hand up to his mouth pressing a soft kiss to the back, all while staring straight into my soul it seemed. My cheeks flushed, wanting to break the eye contact but it felt physically impossible like I was under a spell almost. "Yes love, everything is fine" his eyes flickered down to my lips.
I subtly cleared my throat "Y-you umm didn't tell me he was coming" I nodded to where Lee was sitting looking down at his phone as the plane started to move.
"Well it wasnt planned, and you can't expect me to remember things as irrelevant as Lee when you're sitting a foot away from me" he said loud enough for Lee to hear and look up from his phone to glare Raheem.
I laughed only to stop when he transferred his glare to me, I'm not going to lie he could be very intimidating. Raheem took out his laptop to do some work, still keeping my left hand hostage and I decided to read a book.
I placed my book on my lap before realising I didn't have my contacts in so I'd need my glasses that where in my bag somewhere. He watched me struggle with one hand to rummage through my full bag trying to find my glasses with the smallest smile on his face, knowing full well I would have found them faster if he just let go.
Every now and then he'd squeeze my hand softly, lift it to place a kiss on my knuckles or glance over at me for a few seconds. Eventually after about thirty minutes I put the book down and fell asleep, my head against the window and my feet up on the table in front of us.
