Achieving after a long process, after a long time is much more rewarding than immediately getting what you want. A long endeavour and a habit of struggle, or breaking habits that are not needed or following and making habits that serve to meet our objectives, our purpose in life.

Demark strolled with purpose through the vast green jungle, with his compass allowing him to not lose direction.

If I can see Demark move in this isolated place, why didn't I help? After all he is the protagonist of this story.

Well I rarely interfere with the different dimensions which I can see and love to follow nature's course. How different laws of life operate?

Demark was intently searching for a portal that would lead him to his cousins place. He knew he couldn't return to the church.

He sometimes felt lazy and unmotivated. But the beautiful memories and the imagination of being together with his family drove him ahead and he continued to walk for hours in the deep jungle.

The deep jungle was occupied with shrubs and thorns. Yet he could easily drift across them as if he was a ghost. He probably would have felt tired by then but this was no ordinary place and he felt no hunger. He felt the same energy level as he did initially.

And he came across a strange part of the forest. There were no trees in round circle of the forest.  This part had to be the centre of the forest Demark guess. He went to the end and he touched the soil.

If it was like the object of the other parts of the forest he would have felt  nothing. But the soil felt wet and he could feel the texture.

What was it? You want to ask me. Well if I revealed all the secrets without the sequence it really wouldn't be interesting, would it?

The strange thing wasn't that. The deviation from the normal, the anomalies that stick to our brain.

Demark sat down contemplating about the situation. The deviation of the circumstance was clear. He decided to climb a tree nearby.

When Demark was younger, he would climb for grabbing a bee hive or ants that lived on the top of the trees. He had the skill and confidence of doing it flawlessly.
When he returned he would cut the hive, and eat the honey. Ants would be fried with spices and were considered a delicacy.

He was climbing the tree with the same confidence but now only for a different goal in his mind. He had resolved to return and that would be the thing he planned to do.

He soon reached the top of the forest, and looked around gazing at the majesty that was the forest. Green everywhere and mixing with the yellow rays which the sun seemed to be beeming on in contrast to the dark green in the forest. He looked at the empty space which looked even more different from the higher angle.

Demark from his study of the physiology of human beings, had learnt the eyes had the ability to capture three different colours, red, blue and green. The other colors would be a mixture of two or three of these colours.

When Demark looked across, the magnificent blend of course of green, brown, red and orange. The sight from the top was breathtaking. No wonder people in higher positions, in offices preferred flats that were situated at the top found.

Even apartments, cost more when they are situated at the top.

No coloured birds. Demark wondered how much more colourful it might be at the Amazon, where colourful birds existed and blended in with the forest.

The colours give a sense of fulfillment and fascination. Thought Demark. And colours play a great role in natural selection too. Demark had read. The octopuses could completely change their colours, as escape and hide from predators. Butterflies that were black could be not seen in the industrial age and therefore tended to survive.

Demark currently wasn't in the sea. And also the dimension he was in didn't seem to have any insects or animals.

But he could now see the sea and realised that he was in an island. He looked down at the horizon and realised the vast blue sea and the sun like a yellow ball reflected majestically.

Time is quite something. He had begun his journey with the sun rising from the east. And he was now observing the sun setting in the west. He decided he should climb down before the sun set completely.

As he reached to the bottom he looked up again. All that was remaining of the sun was the twilight and the reflection of the beautiful jungle. The trees seemed greenish red.

However there was something odd going around.

Something poked him from behind. Demark immediately grabbed a tree in anticipation that a stronger action would occur. But nothing happened.

Suddenly a strike to the head was felt which was odd because he didn't usually feel any thing in this dimension.  Demark knew  if the strike was any harder, the real damage would be on the opposite side of the strike.

This was so because the brain, would not move along with the skull because of inertia and would cause a negative pressure in the opposite side of the strike, causing a suction there.

Demark turned around. A person with a cricket bat was staring at him. The man had a beard and wore black glass.

"Where did you come from?" He asked.

Hearing from another dimension would sound weird since he had never traveled that way before. Therefore he said

"I came through the portal"

"Is it your first time through the portal" asked the man with the beard.

After Demark's experience with the priest and monstrosities, Demark didn't know what to expect. The man seemed kind enough but he also the the same man who hit him on the head.

One thing was odd though. It seemed as if he had completely healed from the blow.
