When war happens it can either be very quick or very long or somewhere in between. There is that feeling of transparency and keeping of secrets that occurs in war.

And it was in these circumstances that countries were showing how much their military power was. Showing and displaying their confidence that they could win the war. And it was this confidence that influenced.

A prolonged war seemed inevitable in which Lyson would benefit because of the numerous granaries which stored food.

Lyson seemed to be winning the war at one point as the soldiers of the opposition if the situation continued to spiral down in the same momentum, would die of hunger.

However, even though villages that produced grains, corn and rice were heavily safeguarded, General Git ordered a raid in the most vulnerable and important place than Lyson overlooked.

It's granaries.

And when Lyson was rejoicing which it did on certain days of the month, Git ordered a loot of the granaries, and all of the stored grain was gone, causing the denizens and soldiers to survive on seasonal fruits and the supplies from the villages.

However, the depleted storage facilities led to the insecurity that a famine might occur and strategic points, points in which food was found, might be so important.

Those fertile lands. As the President strolled within the tall grass and looked at the sunflower fields, a large source of oil. He remembered strolling the fields with his parents when he was young and holding his hand with his brother when he was older.

And the brilliant yellow sun shining showing the way clearly. Once upon a time almost all the fields surrounding Lyson belong to the country.

A very complicated situation, but the president refused to stay in a bunker. The horizon view was what attracted the president to the place. The desire to look to the other side as well as keeping the side which he was at under the control of Lyson.

And that was best for everyone, wasn't it? At least the President believed it was so.

Thinking about this, the President strolled the massive yellow fields guided by his eyes as the sun set.

5 years later.

The war continued with sanctions. And a kind of stalemate was reached with the advantage going slightly in favor of Silva as the stock of grains, wheat and corn was a lot.

General Git had initially planned the war would be a short one. But an unexpected turn of events had turned the tables. The army of Lyson was much more diverse and quick to react.

When Git ordered the construction of missile helicopters Lyson would arm their soldiers with anti-helicopter missiles. When he changed his strategy, Lyson would come up with an effective countermeasure.

But Git knew something that Lyson overlooked and took for granted. Lyson needed steel for creating it's weapons. And Lyson had a lot of reserves.

But did it have enough for the war that lasted a decade without a supplier nearby?

People were forced to leave their homes, those who survived would live to tell their children the sad tales of seeing their childhood memories of the place ruined to shatters.

Businessmen who thought the war would be over quick had bought cheap goods and thought they would sell it in expensive prices afterword.

But the war lasted much longer than expected.

The business didn't go as smoothly as planned. Many people suffered losses.

How many people were widowed? How many people were sacrificed in the process of duty? How many fathers, brothers and sons?

Crisis took place in both places. People from Lyson took refuge in the east and north, any place that could feed their families, any place where they could afford a living. Any place were goods were at reasonable prices.

Git who had been 55 when the war started, saw the war ended when he was 65. A veteran. Of course, the war didn't go his way. You must have remembered him talking to the president, telling him the war would end quickly.

But to his dismay it hadn't happened that way.

Good news had always come to Git when he was in control of tactics. But Lyson had proved a formidable opponent.

The village which Demark was living was in control by Silva after 8 years of invasion. The village laid to the east of the capital and was under the imperialist's control of Lyson. A huge stretch of land was separated from Silva and Lyson.

You could say Lyson laid in between Silva and his village.

Deep concern grew each day after Demark read the news and updated himself about the war. Since fertile lands and streaming rivers were in his home village, he was not as worried as other folk when he heard about the news of the looting of granaries. But he was still worried if not more worried than those people who depended upon the food from the granaries and strategic points where they get the food.

War is a place where loss take place but so does gain. Ruthless but true, wars often have decreased populations, allowing raw materials to be distributed equally and without greed. In the far north people who lived there were initially lacking in resources. But after finding oil and rare earth metals they instantly became rich. Then came the population growth and distribution of resources. While the people were satisfied for 4 decades, after that seeing the new generation grow people needed clothes and food which was not found in abundance in the far north. Then people from the far north would travel far and wide, selling resources which was available in the far north and hoping the business would proceed smoothly. Extra hands would be profitable, wouldn't they?

Well mother earth is all giving but limitations were set too. The exponential growth of any living thing has been kept in check, whether it is a human being or an animal.

After all, human beings are part of nature.

And then the decade long war came to an end.
