Five years after the war ended there was a funeral. The people from all parts of the world attended to pay respects for the dead comrades of both Lyson and Silva.

Git now older had to carry a stick to walk on the road. And therefore walked slowly and steadily to the cemetery to lay down flowers and for the silent prayer that gave a peace of mind. The peace came to Git with a belief that somewhere someplace these comrades and innocent people were resting and having a reunion with their loved ones.

As mentioned earlier Git was not the religious type. But he started believing as a war, which he felt would challenge all his abilities, will finally achieve its value.

The bones were broken due to bullets. The bones were broken due to bombs. The bones were not broken for Git even after a long career. He had been acknowledged as the hero of Silva. And it had continued as grew older and was written even in the books read by children.

Even skilled writers came to write interviews.

Git sometimes remembered the day he had graduated from the military academy, the same girl who had teased him, the same girl who had played a serious match so seriously but elegantly that it took a lot of skillful maneuvering to finally defeat her. He remembered that spark in her eyes that made him feel as close as he had known her for years, that he had known her for generations.

But fate is cruel. As he felt the energy and excitement for spending more time together, to express his feelings, he soon hence found out that the girl he had fallen for was no more. He had went to the playground where they had first met and had made acquaintance. And had done something that he had only done after winning the war with Lyson. He wept.

After that he never fell in love again.

And had continued to come to the spot until he was old. It came as a reminder. He was a secret to why he never married. People guessed blindly and sometimes due to the mere number of guesses would come close to the truth. But no one guessed what had actually happened.

But the external war between Lyson and Silva wasn't the end. Git would live to see something. And he wasn't expecting it. There was a wish that peace could occur.

But peace and unity is a fragile thing especially in a hostile community. Riots for freedom were common place 10 years after the war ended. Lyson netizens were unsatisfied because they had lost their independence. So even though steel was much cheaper and cars were too there was a certain dissatisfaction that couldn't be removed.

Git was alive to witness all of this. His felt somewhat sad for the situation and the people of the now unified country. But now it was all set and he would have to leave it to the next generation.

He had already retired. The war was something he would no longer participate in.

The next generation of people would feel the benefits of an outwardly unified country and the fear of an inwardly divided country. Fear of civil war was something that was in everyone's minds the way the riots and protests were going. And civil war meant everyone would be in danger even though sometimes civil war might be naturally important.

Demark would go overseas in order to go for further study. He would not be present for war. While he had his acquaintances after the war of Lyson and Silva, he didn't feel attached to the affairs of the Silva.

However Git, despite not wanting to be too concerned was watching the news everyday. Anyone who has seen a man in pain can relate to what people on the street saw when looking at Git. It was a sad sight seeing a country hero being unhopeful.

Git was a practical man. He knew that somethings were inevitable, that you would have to live with somethings that were happening. Problems that reached the deeper concerns of people but couldn't be solved easily or couldn't be solved at all. It was a kind of situation that everyone faces. But Git being linked to the political and military affairs would become hard on himself.

And in his last days despite being unattached to the war, despite being uninvolved with the war he was assassinated by a ex Lyson soldier. The soldier was a skilled sniper but he was easily tracked down.

The assassination came as a shock to everyone, citizens of Silva had admired him because it his contributions and service and ex-citizens of Lyson had admired him for his skill.

And all the people who would cross the university road would remember him as the strange person who would stop halfway on the sidewalk and stare at the open wide fields of the university.

It was even published in the newspapers. The parents who would have been proud and the relatives, some of whom where still alive. His cousin brother dropped silent tears during his funeral.

Demark, who had a habit of reading, also read the newspapers. He read the front page article. " Hero of the Silva and Lyson war assasinated but dies peacefully." and read the whole article twice. The article mainly consisted of his contributions. The article ended with "His contributions would always be remembered."

The most sad part might be that there was no successor who was related to take his place. But there was someone who was not related to do so.

General Huo of Silva was a soldier when the war of Lyson and Silva took place. He was tall and small eyes. His cheeks were yellow and vascularized. And his voice was deep. He was exceptional at the exams which he took. And he knew how to bewilder the enemy. He took orders without question and was in the decoy team which bought time for the main team to infiltrate. In fact, the decoy team attracted so much attention that a large portion of the enemy's army was distracted and that paved an easy infiltration of the base.

Therefore the cycle of breaking bones would continue.
