Inirapan ko sya at padarag na naupo sa isang sawaling upuan. As if makakatakas ako diba? Ipinamimigay na nga ako ng nanay ko hindi ba obvious? Isa pa, nakatayo sya sa tapat ng pinto kaya sa haba ng braso at binti nya mahahablot nya ako kaagad.

"Bakit ba kasi?" pagalit kong tanong.

Kung mag-uusap kami, this might be fast coz I still have a boat to catch, kung ayaw ni mommy sa bayan ako pupunta para sumakay sa kahit ano na magdadala sakin sa Sta. Elena.

"Make it fast coz as you can see I'm in a rush" ulit ko ng hindi sya sumagot.

"Aalis ka?" tanong nya sa isang malamig na boses.

Hindi ako nagpatinag at tinarayan sya imbis na matakot.

"Oh ano naman sayo?"

"Wait a minute" aniya at humakbang palapit sa akin.

He bent off one of his knees down and held my hand.

"There you go"

He slid a ring on it.

Napatitig ako sa diamond ring na nasa daliri ko at saglit na namangha sa ganda noon. It was a perfect fit. The diamond was on the center of everything and if I'm not mistaken, the red little gemstones around it are rubies. And it's beautiful that it bring pain to my chest.

Marcela Ferrer came into my mind so I immediately removed the ring out of my finger.

"Put it back" he commanded like wants to kill someone right now.

If I were Marcela, I will kill him for giving someone a ring while we are in a relationship.

"I said put it back" he repeated what he said.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?" I said angrily.

"Your fiance" mabilis nyang sagot.

"I'm returning the ring so technically, I'm no longer your fiancee"

Isinaksak ko sa dibdib nya ang singsing at binitawan iyon. His reflexes are fast that why nasalo nya agad iyon.

"It doesn't goes that way Praia" he said with a total authority.

I've been through so much so he can't scare me with that. If he'll hurt me physically--- which I think is nearly impossible to happen--- it's fine than being broken emotionally.

"Then what? Should I do cartwheel or kneel down? It's over. Now let me go"

Tumayo na ako pero maagap din syang tumayo at niyakap ako.

"You love me, I love you. With or without a ring you're still my fiancee and I'm gonna marry you"

"You're just jealous"

Kumalas akong pilit sa yakap nya at halos masampal ko na sya sa sobrang inis.

"Ang kapal talaga ng mukha mo" singhal ko sa kanya habang nandidilat ang mata.

Kung posible aking magbuga ng apoy ginawa ko na.

"Bakit hindi ka ba nagseselos?" he asked playfully that made me more annoyed.

"Hell no! Model lang yun pero mas maganda ako noh"

He raised an eyebrow.

"Dun ka na sa Marcela mo! Bwisit"

What? He doesn't think I'm prettier than his fucking girlfriend? Then fine. Totoo namang mas maganda ako dun. Masyado syang maraming freckles tsaka may acne din natatakpan lang ng makeup. Tsk.
