Personality:
Yue is an individual with a temper. Although, she does keep it in check she doesnt think it's wrong. She won't hesitate to unleash it either verbally or physically if she feels its needed. She really thinks that Anger, sometimes, it's the only way for someone to hear you.
She is also known to be quite head strong and impulsive, preferring to fight using her anger and force rather than follow the etiquettes and the proper techniques of the clan she is forced to represent. This was always one of the main reasons she would end up creating conflicts with the only alive members of her family.
Aside that, she is a very caring individual and will stand up for the weak, the abused, the minority. Many times, her anger is fueled when she decides to defend someone who is on the ground.
When those situations dont arrive, however, she is much calmer and playful. Teasing her two disciple partners and showing a more carefree side.
If she is not around people she doesn't truly know, she will keep the hard faced and serious persona that is expected from her as the main heir to the Lan Clan.
She has her serious moments, coming when a situation is dire. For example, fighting a strong evil spirit or a cleansing a possessed object/person. This is when her leader side comes, giving clear orders and forming plans.
That seriousness is also used when she is on cultivation jobs, trying to represent the etiquette and name of the Lan Clan.
History:
Yue was born 5 months after the death of Wuxian, the night of the summer blue full moon. She was healthy, and so was her mother after birth.
Her first 10 years were spent in cloud recess, having the best of childhoods. Her mother would tell her stories of her past, narrating the point of view no one ever mentioned.
Her father and uncle would help her train, learn the basics of the cultivation while forming her golden core.
Sizhui, being merely a year or two older was her best friend and companion. They spent hours together, playing, learning or studying.
She eventually met her other uncle, Xingchen and quickly bonded with him the amount he spent in Cloud Recess.
Almost two years later, Tengchao lost her life and left both her and Xichen heartbroken.
While he followed the path of the monks and mourned in isolation, Yue was left without a parental figure.
Wangji tried to help, making her focus on her studies and ensuring she was always with her childhood friend.
The girl, having the personality of her mother, quickly hid her grief under constant studying and practice. She also obtained a love for power, pushing herself to learn only the strongest and most effective techniques.
She didn't hesitate to study in secret, experiment and try until her body was severely injured. Going as far as trying to enter the forbidden section of the Lan library.
It didn't go unnoticed by the other clan members, specially Wangji who saw too many similarities between her and his deceased friend.
Thankfully, when she reached the age of 14 she recieved her sword and her courtesy name. That, made her ready to head to the real world.
Always being part of the junior disciplines, she quickly showed her leadership skills and the results of her obsessive studying.
It lead to her often leading the groups, eventually partnering with her childhood buddy and a boy who soon became her friend. The new responsibilities never truly made her forget her aim or the unjustified death of her mother.
Theme:
Motto:
"Motivate me, support me or get the fuck out of my way"
Skills:
Yue is an exeptional swordsman. From young age she was taught the Lan Clan stance and fighting style. In the years that followed, she integrated her own style in it. She is fast and attacks forward, strong and smooth hits with the aim to overpower her opponent. Many times, though, this causes her to lose the grace the Lan are supposed to have and also make it harder for her to dodge by jumping and spinning.
Her true talent lies in her spiritual energy. Her golden core is strong, carrying the powerful talent her parents possessed. She developed it much earlier than cultivators usually do and she learnt to acess it easier. This, proved troublesome in the long run. Yes, she was able to cast powerful talisman and use her mother's techniques; but she lacked control over it. Her energy came too much and often became unstable, ending up harming and exhausting her by the end of a battle.
