Chapter 43. Pre-graduation day

Ji Eun's P.O.V.

Ten days.. Ten days of fighting. The other night, Kai punched me and slapped me. It's been ten days since he's been drinking after school and comes home drunk. Ten days of him slapping me in the face, punching me, hurting me, and shouting bad stuff at me. Ten days of me still sleeping with him even though he's not like the usual. Ten days of me still loving Kai after all he's doing. And ten days, of me holding on to everything we've got to keep us alive. I have lots of bruises and cuts, small cuts. Bruises in my face, cuts and bruises in my legs and arms. Today's Monday, a school day. So I have to go to school and cover all of these up.

I'm here in the shower, finished with the bath, but I'm staring at myself in the mirror to see all of the bruises. I look at those bruises as marks from my amazing husband, Kai. He's not the same Kai I married, but I still love him. I dried my hair and wore my uniform without making a sound. After so, I hurriedly ran downstairs to leave and try not wake up my precious husband. Before going down and leaving, I kissed him softly on his forehead, even though he refuses to feel my kisses nowadays.

I went out and rode the automobile, and went to school. I got to school exactly on time, and boy, there were lots of students in the main lobby. The driver dropped me off the main lobby.

I was walking towards the main lobby, and some of the students stared at me. Luckily, I spotted Chen, Sehun, Lay, and Xiumin in the main lobby.

"Hey Ji Eun noona, what's up with you today?" Sehun asked.
"Yeah, why are you wearing a hospital mask? And.. it's a new thing that you wore above the knee socks." Xiumin seemed he wonders about what I'm wearing.
"Yah, we're about to graduate and I want some new fashion style." I faked a smile.
"Ohh, daebak! (Ohh, amazing!) Plus, your inner white longsleeves fit the uniform." Lay said, fixing the end of my longsleeve.
"Uhh... So, Chen oppa, did you see Kris and Suho?" I asked Chen.
"Yeah, they're upstairs.. In our room." He answered.
"Ohh.. Okay. Well, see you then! Bye guys! I gotta go!" I hurriedly escaped the boys who was in inspection of my new so-called "fashion" statement.

I dashed my way to our classroom and found D.O., Baekhyun, Kris, Suho, Chanyeol, Luhan, and Tao inside among with the others.

"Hey Ji Eun, are you alright?" Baekhyun asked.
"Of course, I am." I eye-smiled.
"Why are you wearing a hospital mask?" Luhan asked. 
"I have coughs." I, faked a cough.
"Well.. I hope you get well soon, my Ji Eun-ah." Luhan smiled and looked convinced.

Kris looked at me like somewhat a glare and signaled me to come to him. I placed my bag onto my seat and walked towards Kris near the window.

"What's with the long socks?" Kris asked me calmly.
"Nothing.." I answered.
"C'mon, you may fool the other boys but you can't fool me." Kris replied.

I felt like there was a lump stucked in my throat.

"Nothing.." I swallowed the lumped built inside me.
"It's not nothing, are those bruises from Ka.." Kris got cut off when the teacher came in.
"Good morning students." The teacher greeted. "Fall in line, all of you. It's time for another graduation practice."

We all fell in line just like what the teacher asked us to do, and went straightly to our auditorium where the graduation will be held tomorrow. We practiced and practiced for the graduation and our specific roles to be done in it.

Hours and hours passed until Kai came in. I looked at him, and he looked happy. He was with his friends, and I was with mine too.

5 HOURS HAVE PASSED 

"Okay, students. Time to go home. Your graduation is finally tomorrow! Don't forget, 6:30 PM will be the call time. Everybody must be here before 6:30 PM. The program will start at exactly 7:00. Bye Seniors!" The teacher bade goodbye and left.

Eveybody looked so happy and is buzzing about the graduation for tomorrow. I hear some talking about what to wear for their graduation. What dress, what shoes, hair, makeup, and everything. These things did not come in my mind. Kai was still occupying every area of it. I looked around me to try and look at him but I didn't. I tried looking for him but he wasn't anywhere to be found. I decided to go home and just stay there until he gets home.

*HOUSE*

My phone rang. Kris Wu calling... I answered the phone call.

"Hello, Ji Eun?" He asked.
"Oppa?" I muttered.
"Are you alright? Where are you?" He asked in a worried tone.
"I'm here at the house, why?" I answered.
"Ohh.. Okay." He replied. "Nothing."
"Oh... Are you ready for tomorrow evening?" I asked him.
"Of course, are you?" He asked.
"Nope, actually." I replied.
"Why?" He asked.
"I have no dress for tomorrow so I.. probably would go out tonight." I murmured.
"Really? Okay, I'll be there in 10 minutes. We'll go outside. Bye!" He said and put down the phone.

Wha-? No, I didn't mean to.. Kai might get.. UGH.

After a while, I heard a carhorn outside the house and I went outside to check if it's already Kai. But it wan't him. It was Kris. 

"Hey, c'mon! I'm gonna show you something." He shouted.
"No, I can't go." I responded.
"Aish." Kris smiled.

He went out of the car and walked right to me.

"C'mon, it's not me. You have to relax and have time for yourself okay?" He smiled and did his puppy dog eyes to plead.
"Fine." I smiled. 
"Okay, then remove your hospital mask." He smiled.
"No, uh.. Wait!" I replied and dashed myself inside the house.

I ran upstairs and applied thick foundation to my face to hide all the bruises I have from Kai punching me and slapping my face. After so, I hurried outside and rode Kris's automobile. He drove without telling me where we'd go.

"Where are we going?" I asked.
"YG." He replied.
"What? Why?" I answered.
"There's something waiting for you there." He smirked.
"What? Is Ji Yong oppa already here?" I excitedly asked.
"No, he's not." He answered as he carefully parked the car in the back of the bulding. "We're here." 
"Pshh." I murmured.

We both went out of the car and sneaked to the main entrance. He was wearing a hoodie, so it wasn't a big thing because fans could not see him. We both went inside. YG's building is so cool. It's so classy and amazing. 

"Yes, Mr. Wu?" The lady asked.
"Uh, she's GD's sister. The package please?" Kris asked.
"Ohh.. Hello Ms. Kwon." The lady smiled at me. "Follow me."

We followed the lady and she lead us to an office. She went inside that office and just half a minute, she went out with a big box. 

"Here is the package from Mr. Kwon Ji Yong." The lady smiled.
"Thank you." Kris smiled back.

Kris and I left and I noticed that a man was looking at me. I don't know if he's Mr. YG. I have never seen before. Anyways, we just made our way back to the car and Kris drove right back to my house.

"Thank you, oppa." I smiled and bade goodbye to Kris.
"Ah, no worries Ji Eun-ah. Good night." Kris smiled and bade goodbye before leaving. 

After he left, I went inside carrying the box that was for me. A package. It was a big box but it was light. As I got in, I placed the box on the carpet in our leaving room and sat on the floor to open the box. I opened the box and saw a white dress, a necklace, white shoes, and a gold-studded bag. Inside the box was a note, 

"I want you to wear this for your graduation, okay? Much love, Ji Yongie." 

I looked at the note for long. I miss my brother. I wish I have him here , especially now that Kai's not here and I'm scared. I'm scared but I'm just fighting it all off. I looked at the things one more time. I picked the package up and went straightly to my room and sleep.
