A new day. I sigh, happy to see what will happen today. The bus is crowded, but I don't care. I'm just excited to be here.

Two kids in the back are playing a game together, and judging by their screams, it's a horror game.

A girl to my right is shooting paper balls at an older boy.

There's a boy in front of me flirting with a green-haired girl. She's not very interested, but I can hear her talking to him very quietly.

My friend sits next to me. Kayo Sudou. She's a year older than me, but she's kind enough to hang out with me.

Across from us is an older girl, two younger kids with her. I think she's my age, if not a bit older than me.

Kayo faces me. "Rita, you're sure you can handle this? You won't get overloaded?"

I squeeze her hand. "Yes, I can handle it. I just need to keep ahold of Lemy." I proudly show her my new stuffed animal: a blond bunny in a jester's outfit.

She smiles, but I see her bite her lip. "Ok. And Julia can help you too."

"I don't need Miss Julia's help," I tell her, pouting. "I'm a big girl, Kayo."

My friend pats my hand. "I know, I know. But I know it's hard for some autistic people to be around large crowds. Just..." she trails off. "Just keep calm, I guess. I don't have much to sa-"

She gets cut off by a girl's scream. My head darts backwards to see the girl playing the video game. It's her and a boy, their gaming console in hand. Her hand is covering her mouth as she tries to not laugh or cry. The boy comforts her, hugging her close. She playfully hits his shoulder, but even I can see that there's no weight behind it.

Meanwhile, the girl to my right is now talking to the boy next to her. I can hear what she's saying. "I mean, the video I watched said to put the monitor on the flat part of my chest." Then she began to laugh.

He seemed confused, turning to look at the boy behind him. "Uh, Gammon, I don't understand."

The other boy sighs. "Well, maybe if you listened to her, you'd understand."

Embarrassed, the first boy looks back at the girl. "Sorry, continue, Nemesis."

  Nemesis. That's a weird name.

Kayo groans quietly. "She's my cousin. She's nice....at times." And then she puts a finger to her lips. "I wanna hear where this is going."

Nemesis gestures up and down. "And, I mean, there is no flat part on my chest! The video showed a guy for the example. There is no flat part on my chest!" She breaks into laughter.

The boy beside her begins to laugh as well. His brother groaned, took out his phone, and began to text someone.

"Hi, Held, it's me again. I want out," he said.

We arrive at Evil's Academy shortly after. If I'm being honest, I was excited to be here. I had been homeschooled my entire life up until this point. Miss Julia had been the one to teach me once I was in middle school.

She had been a few years older than me, and she was my second best friend. Kayo was my first friend.

All the kids left the bus, still chattering to each other. I stayed until they were gone before leaving as well.
