Do You Wanna Build A Snowman (The Doctor x Reader)

The first time you had seen the Blue Box had been your sixth winter. You had been wandering around the park (away from your parents) when you saw it. It had never been there before. So, you decided to investigate. You knocked on the door a few times, and it creakily opened. In front of you stood a man with a shaved head and a leather jacket . You grinned up at him in a friendly manner. "Hey, mister!"

"Hello," he greeted. You peered into the box, but he quickly slammed the door in your face. "I'm the Doctor!" He pointed to the snow on the ground. "Snow, there's snow."

"Yea, Doctor. There's snow. We're in the middle of winter, duh." You giggled and crossed your arms.

"So this isn't Egypt."

"Not at all." You could tell he was friendly, and the prospects of making a new friend overwhelmed your head. You grabbed his hand. "Hey, Doctor, do you wanna build a snowman?"

He grinned down at you. "That sounds fantastic!" You pulled him towards the snow. "Wait, child, what's your name?" You turned to smile up at him. With a pep of enthusiasm, you rattled off your name.

"You seem really nice, Doctor!" You took your hand from his once you reached the center of the clearing. Your pink fingers delved into the snow, and you started to make the bottom. He took over for you.

"I'm not very nice, really. I just like those who are." He rolled the bottom up until it was a decent size. You had already to roll up its midsection. You heaved the ball onto the bottom, then set to work on the head. He seemed to remember something. "Ah, a snowman isn't complete without coal eyes and a mouth!" He turned to return to his box. "I'll be back in a moment!"

"Okay, Doctor!" You couldn't make the head as circular as you wanted, so it was misshapen and ovular. You didn't care as you set it on the body. The Doctor returned after a moment. He presented coal and a carrot to you. You grinned as you took them. You placed them diligently unto the snowman.

"It looks great."

"Yea! Really cool!" You chuckled at your own joke. "Thanks, Doctor." You perked up when you heard your mother call for you. "Ah, crud! Momma, she must've noticed I got away! Let's do this again, okay Doctor?" He nodded.

"Whenever my box is here, just knock on the door and I'll be there. Let's build a snowman again soon." You waved as you took off. He called out, "Goodbye!"

When you stood in front of your mother, she grinned, "Who was that?"

"The Doctor, Momma!" You could have sworn she mumbled something under her breath, but you couldn't tell. You turned around when the wind started to blow harder, and the Blue Box was gone. You could only grin.

The second time you saw the Blue Box had been the winter of your eighth year. The Box was where it was last time. You skipped over towards it, away from your parents. "Doctor?" You knocked on the door and expected the Doctor to greet you. You stood in front of the door, hands clasped together. "Do you wanna build a snowman?" Silence. You threw your arms out to the side, "Come on, let's go and play!" Still, silence. You turned around and slid down the door.

"I haven't seen you since then, remember when?" You peeked under the crack between the door and the floor. You could see sandshoes in front of the door. "Please, come out and stay!" When he didn't answer, you stood up and walked away. "I thought we were best buddies! Hmph, I guess we're not." You looked back at the door sorrowfully. "I wish you would tell me why..." You heard the door creak slightly. You ran back towards it. "Do you wanna build a snowman?" When the creaking stopped, you whispered against the door handle, "It doesn't have to be a snowman."
