Valentines (Dan Howell x Reader)

You were sitting on your couch editing a video for your YouTube channel when you heard your phone buzz on the desk beside you. Pausing your work you picked up your phone and unlocked it only to see you had received a text from one of your close friends Phil Lester. 

'Need help editing come over?' You read before glancing at the clock which read 5:30pm.

'Sure gimme 20 mins' You quickly texted back before putting your phone down and going into your room to get changed. You got changed into an Adventure Time shirt and a pair of jeans before you left to go to Phil and Dan's apartment. When you arrived you knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. Eventually Phil answered and sent you a grin.

"Hey (Y/n) glad you could come over" Phil said moving to stand outside beside you.

"So what stuff do you need edited Philly?" You asked making him scowl at the nickname.

"Oh I just have to run to the shop real quick but Dan's inside he'll show you" Phil replied pushing you inside before he closed the door. Confused you looked to Dan who was wearing his galaxy shirt and a pair of black jeans. You resisted the urge to giggle at the cat whiskers on his face and noticed he looked slightly nervous.

"So what's up?" You questioned shoving your hands into your pockets.

"Umm Phil sorta lied about the whole editing thing" Dan started with a shrug.

"Ok? Why?" You asked confused. Dan just grabbed your hand and led you into the dining room where you saw the lights were dimmed. There was a candle lit in the middle of the table and a few rose petals scattered around it. On either end of the table was a plate of pasta with a glass of wine.

"Happy Valentines Day (Y/n)" Dan said shyly. You blushed and smiled before kissing his cheek. He pulled out your chair for you and you sat down before he went and sat down opposite you.

"Did you cook this yourself?" You asked curiously.

"I had some help from Delia Smith. God bless that woman" Dan replied. After dinner you and Dan settled on the couch with another glass of wine and he put on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. When Phil eventually came back to the flat he awed at the sight of you and Dan asleep on the couch. Dan had his arm around protectively your shoulders and had his head resting on top of yours while your head was tucked under his chin and your arm was around his waist.

"So cute" Phil said to himself, pulling out his phone before he took a photo to tease you both about the next morning. Phil stifled a laugh when he saw you had a marker smudge on the tip of your nose and left to his room before he woke you both up and ruined the precious moment.
