Adorkable Klutz (Jim Carrey X Reader)

Working on set with an actor like Jim Carrey was always fun and interesting to say the least. Being a longtime fan (Y/n) was easily tongue-tied and turned into a klutz whenever he happened to glance in her general direction with that adorable smile of his. Of course the lead actress he worked with despised (Y/n), often sending her off on ridiculous tasks whenever Carrey offered to take her out for lunch or coffee. (Y/n) was getting fed up with her attitude, growling to herself as she drove to her apartment which was thankfully nearby, whistling for her dog when she came in.

"Come here (D/n), mommy has a treat for you." She cooed tiredly, blinking when she turned on the kitchen light to see her dog sitting at the feet of a stranger. So (Y/n) did the next best thing and threw a nearby pan at the guys face, causing him to stagger back with a cry of pain. "Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house?!"

"Ow! (Y/n) that really hurt!" (E/c) eyes widened and (Y/n) rushed forward to the male with a hastily grabbed icepack. Jim Carrey took it with a slightly pained grin and sat at the island bar, icing his red nose. "Jeeze, next time I'll just wait outside."

"I didn't realize it was you, and how do you know where I live, let alone get in my house?"

"The Box." He grinned, laughing when a smile crossed her face. "No, you dropped a spare key on set and I came to return it since you just kind of left."

"Oh sorry, your costar wanted some specific pastries, so by the time I got back from hunting them all down I just came here." The male frowned as (Y/n) picked up the fallen pan and dropped it into the dishwasher.

"Why do you let her walk all over you?" Jim's question roused her from her thoughts, the female shrugging with a half-hearted grin.

"And what, lose my job? I don't mind sucking up to her as long as I continue to get my paycheck. And besides, we're almost done filming, it doesn't matter." (Y/n) shrugged, pulling out some pasta. "Would you like some?"

"I would love some." He grinned, getting out a fresh pan for the sauce. "And we all know she's nasty, you won't get fired if you put your foot down."

"Really? Because I have some nasty things to say to her." (Y/n) grumbled, unable to keep a grin off her face when Carrey laughed.

"I'm sure. Let me show you how to make meatballs the old fashioned way!" The rest of the night consisted of the two making meatballs and laughing at corny puns and jokes, the male actor bidding (Y/n) goodnight before going to the guestroom she let him borrow. Just about giddy with excitement (Y/n) straightened up before going to bed, up bright and early for the morning shooting they had that day. Of course Jim was a completely different case, fighting tooth and nail as (Y/n) all but dragged him out of bed and pushed him to take a shower. He of course moaned and groaned theatrically, but freshened up and enjoyed some coffee before the two drove to set in his car together. His fellow actress was visibly upset, hand on her hips as she glared at the two.

"You're late Jim, and with her no less." She scoffed, getting some dirty looks from not only Carrey but from other cast members as well.

"Can you just please shut up for once?" (Y/n) finally snapped, crossing her arms as she glared at the other female. "No one wants to hear your bitching this early in the morning."

"Excuse me? What did you just say to me?" The other snapped, crossing over to the assistant. "I better hear an apology or else you'll never work in this town again for anyone! I'll ruin you!"

"No you won't." Jim finally snapped, placing his arms around (Y/n)'s waist with a frown. "She's going to be my personal assistant from now on, and if anyone will be ruined it's going to be you. I suggest you back off before I make some calls." His coworker stared before haughtily walking off, sneering at those who laughed and clapped for (Y/n) and Carrey.

"That's the nicest thing someone has ever done for me." (Y/n) grinned, looking at Carrey. "Does this mean we're a thing?"

"Why I believe so." He grinned in a mock British accent, the two walking towards set among awws around them.
