Tell Her (Kain X Reader)

"Kain, today's the day you NEED to tell her today!" said Aido raising his eyebrows for more reinforcement.

"No, not now, It's to soon. I... I just can't! I've only known her for a short time, and what if she doesn't like me back, I'll look like a fool!" Kain said hesitantly.

"Look" he said with a distinct tone in his voice, "you love her don't you? Everyone can see you've fallen head over heals for [your name], that should be all the reason you need to tell her you love her."

"You're right" Kain said more confidently.

"Of course I'm right!! Did you ever really doubt me?" He said with a devious smirk.  "Look her she comes now, act natural!"

"Hey guys, Ruka told me that the two of you were looking for me, what's up?" you say.

"It's a surprise, follow me!" Said Aido as you and Akatsuki race after him.

"Aido even after knowing for only a short time I know that when ever you say that, nothing good ever happens" you said.

You are relatively new to Cross academy, your vampire pureblood parents hold a place of power in the senate. They have sent you to the night class of Cross academy to meet vampires of your same generation. While here you have made friends with two troublemakers on campus, Kain and Aido, and today they have asked you to join them on their "greatest prank yet."

"Aido, Kain, seriously what are we doing? We are supposed to use this hour to get to class on time, not go climbing in trees!" you say as the three of you climb into a tree along the main pathway.

"Well [your name], if you must know, we are going to pull off the greatest prank in the history of Cross academy!" Aido said eagerly.

"That's what you said about your last prank" Kain pointed out, "when you told all the day class girls that St. Xoctal's Day was cancelled!"

"Well this tops that!" he said excitedly.

"Here, let me give you a hand" Kain said offering to help you up into the tree.

As you hands touch, you heart flutters. Ever since you came, you've had a small crush on him, But your to shy to admit it. You pulled yourself up to his eye level and looked eye to eye with him, He was so handsome... Your gaze was broken by Aido droping a shoe on the path below, and shouting

"Damn! This is my best pair of shoes!"

"So that's your pranking masterpiece? A falling shoe?" Kain said sarcastically.

"Ha ha ha! No!" Aido said with a sarcastic return, "Just wait 5 more minutes for the 'show to begin'"

Suddenly a stampede of screeching day class girls ran by in a black uniformed mob. No sooner did they pass, then the three of you broke out into a wild laughter

"Oh Aido! What did you do?" you say while grinning from ear to ear.

"I started a rumor that the first girl that got back to their dormitory, would get to go on a date with me" he said as he jumped out of the tree.

"Your not seriously going to do that are you?" Kain asked.

"Of course not!" he shouted almost sounding discusted at the idea.

As you jump out of the tree you sleeve catches on a branch and you fall to the ground. Surprisingly you have a soft landing, you open your eyes and realize that you landed in Kain's arms.

"Are you alright?" He asked kindly.

"I...I'm fine" you respond. The second your feet touch the ground, Kain's warm lips met your's, you almost melt.

"[Your name], I've had a crush on you since you first came hear and there is something I need to ask you, Will you go out with me?"

"Yes! Of course I will!" you say, as you hug him your foot pops up and you begin to laugh.

"I now pronounce you boyfriend and girlfriend!" said Aido with a sly grin.
