"Merlin!" You took a step back, letting the cold water the boy had just splashed on you drip onto the floor. "I was taking these sheets to Arthur's room." Merlin looked at you with an apologetic look on his face.

"I'm sorry, (Y/N). Here, let me grab you some dry ones." He took the sopping sheets from your hands before you could protest. "Be right back," he guaranteed, before rushing down the hall. You sighed and leaned against the wall, waiting for his return.

You were a servant at the castle. Fortunately ( or unfortunately, depending on how you looked at it), you were no one's personal servant, but it was just an unspoken deal between everyone that you took to things involving the prince or Lady Morganna (things that their personal servants hadn't done, of course). Maybe it was because they were both your friends, or maybe it was simply because none of the other servants wanted the chance of having to do something dreadful for Arthur, but the reason didn't matter to you. You simply enjoyed not having to serve Uther all the time.

Footsteps could be heard down the hall, and you stood up straight. "Merlin, that didn't take you very long-" you began to say, but stopped when you saw it was Arthur rather than the silly servant. "Oh. Hello, my lord."

"Hello, (Y/N). Have you by any chance seen Merlin? I need him to polish my chainmail." He was holding the armour in his hands, and you shook your head slightly.

"Your chainmail is fine, Arthur," you said, giving him a small smile. "But if you really need it polished that badly, I'll gladly clean it for you. Merlin was rather busy when I ran into him earlier." You were trying to be nice to him, as he was the crown prince of Camelot. As if hearing his name from wherever he went, Merlin suddenly appeared.

"Here, (Y/N), some dry sheets for Arthur," he said, turning the corner. "You should have put the wet ones on his bed, what a surprise that'd have been." Merlin froze in place when he noticed Arthur, who had now taken up an amused look.

"Yes, what a surprise that'd have been indeed." You couldn't help but giggle as Arthur shoved his chainmail into Merlin's arms, causing him to drop the sheets he had gotten for you. "Clean my chainmail, Merlin." You picked the sheets off the ground.

"I'll be changing your sheets," you said, and went off walking down the hall. You soon arrived in Arthur's room and you got to work, stripping his bed of everything and preparing to replace them with the new sheets. While you were working, you heard the door open and shut. "Arthur?" you called, not turning to see who it was.

"Naturally," he replied, slumping into one of his chairs. You could hear him tapping his foot on the ground, and his hand on the chair, as if he was bored. You sighed and spun around.

"Is there something you need, or are you just incredibly bored?"

"I'm bored, mostly," he admitted, standing from his chair.

"Isn't there something you could do other than bothering me while I'm trying to do something for you?"

"Not really." You sighed at his response.
