Risa's summary: discrimination has painted clear boundaries between the four towns of Esturg: Anotonia, Regeoria, Frieia, and Etria. While the other three towns bask in bliss and prosperity, Anotonia is devasted by poverty and death.

This book wastes no time in pulling you right in! I flew through the chapters in one sitting and found myself wanting more.

Description was very impressive; the characters seem to have been effortlessly brought to life, the world in which they live, brilliantly woven. Dialogue between characters was also very realistic to good extent.

There were few grammatical errors, but none strong enough to pull back the story's flow. These errors can be easily fixed with good editing.

With such a strong plot, I'd say I expected to see the link really quick with the title of the book. I didn't. I made a few guesses, the story's blurb seems to hint at it - the princess of Yilore and the Rosae - but I read so far and none of these people had shown up. I might be wrong about who the beloved is. However, if the Princess of Yilore is a major character in the book, I expected an early introduction.

There are plot points yet to be developed as the story is just beginning, but you'd be able to perceive how far they'd boost both plot and character development when blended right.

The book cover is simplistic and beautiful, I really like it! The book summary I found to be inviting but quite bulky.

My beloved is an engaging, promising read with characters you'd fall in love with - Tritana was my favorite. I recommend this to anyone who'd love a finely crafted Fantasy shrouded in mystery and possible romance. ;)
