How many stories have you been told?

Risa’s summary: everyone has a story to share or hide.
Some have watched stories play out. Some have listened to stories being told.
Which story melts you?
Which one scares you?

I have very little experience with poetry. I doubt I can give constructive comments on this book.

However, I do enjoy reading a variety of creative works, so, I gave this book a try for the sole purpose of entertainment. The entire time, I imagined a story, and thoroughly enjoyed the journey.

The first chapter brought fine descriptions that enabled me picture two very distinct characters. One – the narrator, I suppose -- seemed to have been stricken senseless by love, in a cute way. The other seemed to be the narrator’s gem. Sadly, there could be no romantic love story between them, but that’s just life sometimes.

With the second poem, the writer took me back in time and showed me precious, beautiful moments between the two. In the end, my heart was ripped out by a few sad lines.

The third poem was a sweet appreciation. I’m certain the best friend loved it even more than I did.

Certain parts of the fourth poem can resonate with everyone. Really, who is perfect in all their ways? We can only come so close to perfection and adjust ourselves to the best versions possible.

The fifth poem I loved dearly, the evil tinge was its charm.

In all, beautiful stories were told with quick lines. I loved each one.

The summary was quite catchy, but there were glaring grammatical errors the writer might want to fix. The book’s cover did not appeal to me even slightly.

A Story Told in Verse is a fine poetry collection you should check out. I’d recommend this to anyone who’d love to try something different, and anyone, who’d appreciate quick, engaging stories.
